Excellent stay.

A big thank you to Paul for his warm welcome and kindness.
Our stay at DdayAviators was an exceptional experience, a true immersion in the heart of World War II history. Located in immediate proximity to the artificial harbor of Arromanches, the establishment offers spacious, beautiful, and perfectly quiet rooms. The bedding is also of excellent quality, ensuring optimal rest.
Each room is decorated with great care on the theme of aviation during World War II. Many historical pieces enrich the experience, and the owner took the time to share, with passion, his knowledge and the accompanying anecdotes.
We were two couples and had a remarkable stay, if not unforgettable. Beyond the comfort and setting, it is also the owner's passion and the quality of his welcome that make this place so special.
Thank you again, Paul, for your welcome, your availability, and for sharing your passion for aviation. It is with great pleasure that we will return to Dday Aviators during our next stay in Normandy.

Amazing decor, particularly if you are an aviation fan, and the location is perfect to see everything in Arromanches. I highly recommend this property.

Nightmare night

Don’t be fooled by the photos posted on the site, they are definitely many years old! I found this hotel really ugly, dirty, the rooms full but full of dust, damp towels and clogged shower. The owner welcomed us on arrival took payment and disappeared. It is an old museum and should remain so. Really bad experience.

History, Heart, and Hospitality — A WWII-Lover’s Dream Stay at D-Day Aviators ✈️

We were absolutely blown away by our stay at D-Day Aviators. From the moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a living museum — but with all the warmth of a family-run guesthouse.
Every room is packed with authentic WWII memorabilia, including a restored aircraft cockpit, vintage maps, and even a propeller outside our window. The common areas are just as fascinating, and yes — there’s a wine cellar hidden under the dining room floor!
The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and so knowledgeable about the area’s wartime history. You can tell this is a passion project, not just a hotel. We learned more here than in some museums.
Beautiful rooms, unbeatable location, and an atmosphere that truly honors the past.
Can’t recommend it enough.
We’d come back in a heartbeat.
