Le Chalet, Thonon Les Bains - fantastic
The views over Lake Geneva are stunning. We rented (2 adults and 2 children age 9 and 10) a superbly equipped self catering apartment that was both spacious and quiet.
Food wise there was no choice for the evening dinner but that said, my children ate and enjoyed all that was put in front of them (as did the adults). The owners are both welcoming and hospitable in a relaxed informal way.

Thonon is a relaxed town without the pretentiousness of its neighbour Evian. The swimming pool complex, that incorporates an area that includes Lake Geneva itself, is second to none and the choice of restaurants is extensive. The only word of warning is that if one ventures across the Swiss boarder be prepared to
pay far higher prices.
Activities - white water rafting on the River Dranske(2 AN Rafting) , a trip wire course (7 Adventures) trip to Morzine (the luge was fun), ferry trip to Lausanne (change at Evian) and Aqua Park across the boarder in Switzerland.
Would certainly holiday again in both the area and at Le Chalet.

Déception
La présence des deux chiens du propriétaire nous a gêné, ayant nous même des chiens, car ils étaient en liberté et chaque entrée et sortie était un problème.
L'inaction des propriétaires à ce sujet nous a fortement déçu, sachant que les nôtres sont pacifiques et étaient en laisse en permanence.
Chambre sans plus, le bac de douche avait du mal à se vider, les aérations sont sales, la décoration des années 70 laisse à désirer ainsi que les fissures au plafond.
Prix indiscutable avec petit déjeuner inclus, mais attention ! prévoir repas du midi et du soir en extérieur car le Chalet ne fait plus demi-pension depuis quelques années.
Piscine extérieure mais non couverte et non chauffée, idéale si il fait très beau et chaud dehors.
Wi-fi gratuite mais non accessible depuis les chambres.
Nous avons été déçus et nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement.
Correcte pour un passage d'une ou deux nuits pas plus.

Le chalet, thonon les bains - fantastique
La vue sur le lac Genève est à couper le souffle. thonon est reposant ville sans le côté prétentieux de son voisin Evian.
