Highly recommended
Excellent experience, very kind and helpful staff in case of need, clean. Excellent breakfast. Optimal location, both for reaching the city center and the station which are located about 1.5 km away. In front of the hotel there are buses, trolleybuses and the metro.

Not as good as past experiences.
I have stayed at Scandic a few times, when I have visited Finland to see family. This time my experience wasn’t as good.
In previous visits breakfast was included, but on my recent visit, to have breakfast would cost €20 a day and no discount for my youngest at 14.
The gym has got worst, as there is hardly any equipment remaining.
Also, rewards points is a joke. I had over 10,000 points and I receive emails saying I can book an extra night, but when I try, they have a get out clause that don’t allow this.
I was allowed to use my points for 1x breakfast at €20, however a room is €100, so this seems unfair.
Staff are very helpful and polite, it’s the overall charges, facilities and points incentive that I am marking down my Scandic experience.

Rather stay elsewhere
Feels bad and old. No lounge or bar. There was no kettle or minibar in the room. We got good help at the reception to upgrade us to another room (for payment of course) but there smelled like drains in the bathroom.
The cleaner came every morning and knocked to ask if we wanted to get cleaning that day when we were still getting ready in the morning. The playroom is tiny, dark and confined with very little opportunity for play, the children thought it was scary and did not even want to go in there. We rather at Scandic paasi around the corner, easily worth extra money.

The room was good for the price. The breakfast was not worth it.
The room was what to expect within the price range. For a superior class room you get a robe but no slippers as they are sold separately which is weird as the Sauna was on a different floor.
For a Superior Family Four room the kids have not been in their mind of when they planned the room. As there was no possibility for the kids to wash their hands when the soap was unreachable of the kids.
There were dirty mugs in the room which makes one wonder if the cleaners even check if the mugs are used or not?
The kids playroom was poor. A small space with no paper or pens for coloring only few toys for small toddlers and some books.
The breakfast was not worth the 11€. The food was stall and looked and tasted at yesterday's food or that it have been left out in the open for days. That so called bacon was heavily burnt, the croissants was like eating cardboard, and the overnight porridge tasted terrible. The ham slices looked gray and not so appealing to eat. Many plates on the breakfast was probably old with a lot of wear and looked dirty, or poorly cleaned.

Great quality for the price. Rooms were clean and temperature great for sleeping comfortably even on the warmer nights. Staff is super friendly and helpful, I injured my foot during the stay and they accommodated a lot for me and helped me get healthcare to check out the foot so it wasn't broken.
