This intimate, elegant hotel is located directly across from the Porvoo Cathedral in the heart of Old Town. It provides individually decorated rooms with free internet access and garden views.

Simply beautiful.
Hotel Onni in Porvoo is located in the immediate vicinity of the historic city center. It is recommended to reserve a parking space at the hotel before arrival, as parking the car can otherwise be a bit difficult. The parking space currently costs €15 per day (July 2026).
The reception at the hotel was friendly and checking in was quick. There appear to be only 4 rooms in this beautiful hotel and one suite in a separate building. The room itself was very nicely furnished. The bed was very nice, as was the bathroom, even if it was a bit cramped. The room is not equipped with a safe and also does not have a television. Instead, there is an “honor bar” outside the room with small treats. Coffee and tea are available free of charge.
Breakfast is prepared at the table, which really makes sense given the size of the hotel. The selection is very good and meets high standards. However, you should note that breakfast is only available starting at 9 a.m.
Checking out was quick. And the apparently only employee was very nice and friendly.

really a nice place to stay)
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Onni and liked all the details of my room and reception area. I would also mention the friendly staff both at the reception and in the restaurant. Will definitely get back one day!

Unique and delicate experience. Home made and hiqh quality breakfast, an experience You will not experience in Big Hotels. Dinner in restaurant Sicapelle is definetly worthwhile. Customer experience and customer service is friendly, professional and personal. Lovely weekend.

Fell short of expectations
The location of the hotel is peaceful and just a short walk away from shops and restaurants. It is at the top of a steep cobblestone hill, so not the best option if you have trouble getting around.
We stayed in the rustic room for one night in late July. I'm sorry to say we were disappointed with the room and felt it was not worth the price. The photos on the website do not accurately depict the current decor or condition of the room. The curtains are now plain white, one of the window blinds is missing, as is the beautiful wooden headboard seen in the pictures. The decor is only beige and white, which feels a bit cold and uninviting. The wallpaper looked discolored and dirty, and the bathroom has also seen better days. There wasn't a minibar in the room and the only trash can was in the bathroom. A rug would help soften the acoustics and also the feel of the room. Some more art on the walls, a few soft colors, and maybe even a potted plant would really improve the ambiance. It's these small details which take a room from just livable to lovable.
The breakfast selection wasn't very big but that is understandable for a hotel with just four rooms and a suite. The options available were however tasty and fresh.

Lovely small romantic place / Ihan romanttinen paikka
If you are looking for idyll, lovely, romantic place, at old town, this is good place for that. Service is great, room is little, but so beautiful. Only behing to door was "reception" ( or young lady" and I can not say, it the intimacy so great. Food was good: my husband loves that, ant the price ( without drinks) was ok for quality. But the place is pretty expensive. All small details was nice! And the breakfast was really nice!
Jos etsit Porvoon idylliä, tämä on oikea paikka. Ihana pieni, intiimi majatalo, joka on todella kaunis ja herkkä. Ruoka erinomaista ja hintalaatusuhde hyvä. Onni sijaitsee aivan kirkon vieressä. Pieni miinus melko pieni huone ja oven takana oleva pöytä jossa istui henkilökunta työskentelemässä. Suosittelen romanttiselle pariskunnan yöpymiselle. Aamiainen oli todella ihana, pieni, täynnä pieniä erikoisuuksia.
