Family stop over

We stayed over 4 nights in between visiting family as it was very convenient for the airport as we had early flights. Staff very friendly and hotel shuttle efficient on departure. Rooms was comfortable, good shower and hot water although remote control missing for TV!! Breakfast buffet good plenty of coffee and omelette to order. Staff were friendly and happy to help and even asked how my 4 year old was as he had been poorly on arrival.

Ethiopian Air transit hotel. Not recommended

We were put up here by Ethiopian Air for our overnite layover. Very close to airport. Less than 5 minutes. Shuttle was waiting at hotel pickup site. Check-in was smooth. We had a quick reasonable buffet dinner selection. Open until midnite. Although our room was pretty large, it was rather rundown. Not all the lights worked, the mirror was cracked, there was mold in the shower. For my wife and I, there was only one towel - which happened to be stained. No shower products at all. One bar of soap to go with the one towel. There was inadequate sound insulation. We heard quite a bit of noise during the night. Bed was comfortable. WiFi was good enough to check mail, etc. Breakfast was ok although even at 6am, the food was cool - as was the food at dinner. Not your usual American/European hot breakfast selection but we found a few things to eat. There is no shuttle schedule. We asked to leave at 615am but didn’t get out until 635. I would stay elsewhere given the choice.

Two days stay at Bole Skygate Hotel

The room is really wonderful with average quality. However, the breakfast is very very poor. People at the hotel are very good. But the breakfast type, quality, the way it is organized is very poor. I suggest two options, either the hotel should not serve breakfast or should improve the quality and everything there.

Only one km from airport

Good choice for 2-3 days in Addis Abeba. Only one kilometer from Bole international airport and it’s very easy to come here. Only straight from airport to Addis Abeba.

Close to airport

Great location close to the airport, however a little bit far from the main Addis sights . Especially as traffic to and from the city is horrendous these days . It’s nothing too fancy , rooms are comfortable but a little dated . Breakfast was good but not a huge selection . Main reason for our stay was it’s very close proximity to the airport.
