All fine for overnight stay.

A good hotel with clean old fashioned rooms. Be aware that there are many stuffed animals on display even in the dining room. Delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant and ok breakfast.

A memorable experience

We stayed in this hotel in 2019 and I still remember it vividly. Food was excellent.
Staff very friendly. An unusual town. Transport links a bit unreliable but all in all a good experience.
A good pub nearby and a military museum. The train station is about a ten minute walk from the hotel.

Not great

No insulation at all. From your room, you can clearly hear your neighbors talk, watch tv, walk, snore, move in bed...Plus, too many instects can be found in the rooms. Breakfast is not really recommended.

Twin room + brekkie for 62 euros: kindly made late food

We booked on the day and arrived late from the Riga train having alerted the hotel. They called back and offered to have some hot food prepared for us as the kitchn was shut after 8pm.
Food was delicious (thanks Pila!) and enjoyed in the quirky restaurant. If you don't mind being surveyed by stuffed animals while you eat, it's fine.

friendly stuff

very friendly stuff. Room was clean and a stilysh. there was no kettle to make tea or coffe. breakfast was served on the table, personally. Around the hotel is a beautiful garden. In a front of a hotel there are a quite big parking lot. Stuff hold the parking lot and roads cleaned/ snowfree and safe (slipping) during this time. It was a nice stay.
