Luxor at its best

If you're looking for a great budget option in the center of Luxor, look no further. Venus Hotel is literally 5 min walk from Luxor Temple and Nile promenade and 10 min drive to Karnak Temple. Cool room with bathroom and most importantly very friendly and helpful staff. You'll feel like at home plus they can arrange all the tours and activities for you at good price. Enjoy!

Venus Hotel – Ramses Square, Cairo
Room 319
I am writing this review as a serious warning to international tourists and travelers.
Unfortunately, my stay at Venus Hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I travel to Cairo regularly, and this hotel does not meet even the most basic hospitality or safety standards.
From the moment of arrival, the reception staff were rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I asked about basic room amenities such as a mini fridge, electric kettle, Wi-Fi quality, and breakfast — none were available, despite the room costing 900 EGP per night, which is very expensive compared to other hotels in Cairo and Giza offering far better services at lower prices.
Check-in was delayed without any proper explanation, and the way I was spoken to was extremely disrespectful.
The room itself was in very poor condition, dirty, and uncomfortable.
The most dangerous issue was the elevator. Late at night, we discovered that it was completely out of service while the hotel is located on the 10th floor. No assistance or alternative solution was offered.
The following morning, another guest opened the elevator door and found no elevator cabin inside. The door opened fully, and the guest nearly fell into the shaft. This represents a serious safety hazard that could easily result in severe injury or death.
This level of negligence is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I strongly advise tourists and travelers to avoid this hotel, especially for safety reasons.

Very close to Ramses station

Reservation of a room to drop off our suitcases at the end of the afternoon and take a shower before boarding the Watania Seleeping train for Luxor. Hard to find. Entrance not inviting… elevator in poor condition.
Upstairs in the hotel: friendly welcome. Friendly staff. Minimalist but clean room. Clean bathroom.
We have not tested the bedding. Noisy environment. Close to restaurants.
