Great Place to Start Your Egypt Adventure
WOW!!!
Thank you Cairo Marriott Downtown…I arrived at midnight and you surprised me with an upgrade to the best suite in the hotel…amazing!!!
This hotel is located right on the Nile and has fantastic boardwalk with many floating restaurants.
The people are friendly and gracious.
While at the hotel I enjoyed the 2-hour Hammam and massage…so enjoyable.
The M Club offers full breaks and very heavy appetizers at night. Each day they offer a special cocktail. The cookies…so good.
The neighborhood seemed safe for walking and exploring. Uber was reliable and affordable.
Definitely coming back!!!

Roy Steakhouse experience
Dined at the Roy Streakhouse - had a great dinner, our waiter Mohamed Salah was a lovely man, very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Declining level of service and attention to guest services
I have stayed at this property and recommended it to friends countless times over the years. Near to my Cairo home and opposite to my club, I usually stay here when I am visiting Cairo for business and short stays.
Today, I checked in early morning and the staff were accommodating an early check in, however, my room preference was not available, I was promised by Mr. ISlam that my room will changed in the next few hours and I was asked to return to the reception a couple of hours later, which I did, then I was met by Mr. Nader who again, told me the same thing and promised room is locked for me and only waiting for cleaning, I waited four hours, and then called the reception, I was told by a lady, sorry didn’t get her name, that the room is being cleaned and she will call me back within 30mins. It’s been two hours, since then I tired calling the reception three times, every single time I am put on hold and no sign of Mr. Nader and they are not picking up the call. Quite disappointing way to treat a Titanium member or any guest for that matter, it shows lack of respect to the guests and demonstrates a low level of professionalism.
Beautiful place, nice staff for the most part, but this is the worst I have seen in many years. Not even picking up the phone.

Such a beautiful and good hotel
The morning breakfast is a real pharaonic experience. The entire team is so kind and warm, but one man stands out Ahmed Ragab. He serves with the warmest smile, and reads your needs before you request them.
The 19th century hotel itself is a place of historic importance, overlooking the Nile, with a beautiful swimming pool to relax after discovering all the museums and archeological sites.

Spectacular former palace, great views
Loved this hotel. It's a former palace of the khedive upgraded with new wings. We loved walking around the garden and the old palace area, absolutely beautiful. We ate in the Saraya Gallery restaurant and it was a wonderful experience, classic, gorgeous, great service, movie-level decor.
The pool was lovely, good drinks and food there too. Staff were all very kind to the kids as well which was a plus.
We had a room with spectacular views of the Nile river. We loved it particularly watching the river at night.
There is a Casino inside the hotel so sometimes you'd see odd characters in suits wandering around in the early morning. Some guests didn't like it but we thought it was fine it didn't bother us and the ambiance outside in the evening and in the restaurants was not at all casino like, it was very calm and elegant. Fantastic hotel.
