Wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

What an exquisite, one of a kind hotel!!! Had I been able to give them 200% positive review I would have done it with the greatest possible pleasure. Unique, charming, nostalgic, clean, tidy fantastically located in the very heart of Cairo. But above all, the wonderful, warm, kind, professional personnel who do everything they can do make the stay as memorable, and as enjoyable as possible. It's a hotel with a soul, and a reminder of what hospitality is, and should be about. I would recommend it to anyone willing to experience the essence of downtown Cairo, and the world as it once was. Keep up the good work, and thank for being such wonderful hosts.

This is a very basic accommodation, but I still want to give them a good review because of the hospitality and professionalism of Amal and Mohamed. For instance, I told Amal I would have a very early pick up for a tour next day. Mohamed knocked on my door 6am almost on the dot, despite the fact that they serve breakfast starting from 7am. The building is not fancy but it’s in a good area. Also I could use their simple kitchenette, which was a huge plus because I don’t like eating out all the time. I felt really well cared for. Their service was better than that of many five star hotels.

Remains of a time that were... but now gone, definitely.

Hotel that has known better times... vestiges of a time that were, now dilapidated. Clean inside, very dirty the building starting from the hallway and the stairs.
The staff was very friendly.
The street is noisy and looms inexorably inside the rooms that have smashed and slack fixtures, ramshackle and creaky doors...

The hotel has seen better times, but in a way that actually adds to its charm. Staying here feels a bit like time travel, thanks to the historic building and atmosphere. It offers very good value for money: the rooms are simple but nice and clean. Most importantly, the owner/manager is extremely kind and helpful and does his best to assist guests — I even received an extra early check-in free of charge due to my early flight.
