Excellent! Best value for money.

The Hostal El Ejido was simply superb, a very good choice for value. Jorge, the owner, is the soul of the business, always gentle and efficient, managed to solve all our needs, from tours to Otavalo to cork screws, taxis, knife, shoe repairing, clothe washing... The room was always tide and clean, water always hot and breakfast on time. Very few downsides are the fact that there is no breakfast on weekends and that the area is a bit desert at night. Nothing that a taxi - which are very cheap in Ecuador- would not solve for those a bit more afraid of walking at night. The location is absolutely great, on a walkable distance to most of the attractions. I highly recommend El Ejido!

Excellent value budget lodging

Excellent value for the budget traveler. Variety of rooms, some spacious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Bag storage available. Internet access (via computers, no WIFI). Location is convenient to both Mariscal and Old town, although it is recommended to take taxi home if after 7pm in this area. Remember this is not 5 star, so one bathroom was without toilet seat. If you are looking for very good value and are a flexible traveler, you wil be very happy with this place. They also serve breakfast in the restaurant next door for about $3!

Bien para hospedarse

EL hostal es sencillo, pero a su vez aceptable. No es destacado por ser muy estético, pero funciona perfecto para hospedarse como turista para dormir, y no etar durante el día en el hotel como tal. El precio es bastante económico y está ubicado en una buena zona, en el límite del centro con el norte de Quito. Tiene dos estaciones de trolebus cerca (caminar unas dos o tres cuadras cortas), hay muchos lugares de comida económicas cercanos al hostal, incluso al lado del hostal se puede desayunar por 2 a 3 dolares. Tiene Wifi en el lobby, Las habitaciones, como comenté anteriormente, no sno muy decoradas sino sencillas pero sirven bastante bien para llegar a descansar en él. El señor que atiende el hostal (creo que es el dueño) brinda a los turistas excelentes recomendaciones para conocer quito, explica cómo llegar a los lugares y las mejores rutas.
Algo bueno es que se puede reservar por correo sin necesidad de abono previo (o así fue cuando yo me hospedé)
Un punto fallo a mejorar del hostal es que no siempre tiene agua potable disponible para que los huespedes puedan beber. Hay un filtro con botellón pero se agota rápido el agua y tardan en cambiarlo o llenarlo, de modo que recomiendo a los huéspedes comprarse sus botellas grandes de agua para tener en la habitación.

excelente precio-valor

lugar muy centrico y cercano a lugares turisticos, parques, el Sr Jorge es una persona candida, cordial y atenta a los requerimientos de los huespedes. estan cerca las paradas del trole y buses. existen muchos restaurantes cercanos al hostal como lavanderias. y para los venezolanos un lugar para sus motivos reales de turismo ;)

Como llegar a casa

Quito una cuidad bonita, moderna, la verdad me sorprendi por el orden y la seguridad, hay mucha artesanias indigenas por todos lados, los domingos hay una hermosa feria de arte en le parque el Ejido donde se puede disfrutar mucho... Este Hostal que da en pleno corazón de Quito, se puede ir a pie a la zona antigua de la ciudad, y caminar por todo el centro sin problema, El hosta tiene un servicio muy calido, amable, que la verdad en la ciudad no es la constante,,, tambien es aseado, estan muy pendientes de tus requerimientos, en fin es como llegar a la casa de la buela. Tiene parqueadero, servicio de internet, y reciben tarjetas de credito, es muy seguro, el precio por noche es verdaderamente económico y muy bien atendido,,,,, lo recomiendo totalmente
