Cozy site in nature with beach and forest

Cozy, quiet campsite with plenty of space at the beginning of the high season, as already indicated on google you do not have to book. Small camping shop with most essential foodstuffs.
Spacious pitches under the trees, great amenities to a full kitchen and covered terrace for tents separate pitches, beach on a wide river great mini golf course and fine playground equipment for children, also motel rooms, cabins, cottages and mobile homes.

Used, small and poor service

Silkeborg Sø Camping is a small, quiet place close to the city, but it is marked by many years of lack of maintenance.
The place and facilities are heavily worn. The toilets are outdated, smell ground and are only cleaned once a day – even during the high season. The stands are so small that there is no room for a car, even if you pay extra for a 'large' seat. In addition, there are major problems with the power supply and drainage of rainwater, which often leaves the places underwater without the shadow of help from the staff.
The pictures of a delicious sandy beach cheat; it is 2 km away. At the site's own lake access, bathing is not recommended due to toxic algae.
We're not coming again.

Space is not worth the price, be careful when paying

The place is located on the edge of Silkeborg am See, unfortunately without a view of it. We stayed overnight with the camper there. Supply and disposal are sufficient. However, the facility including the rear sanitary area is partly quite old, not everything was clean. We know several places in Denmark, this place is not worth the price for what is on offer.
My partner paid with her VISA card, which allegedly did not work. She did not receive any such evidence. Later, I paid the bill in cash.
After my partner received the statement, it was clear that we were paying twice. Something like this can happen. What happened next, but not:
Although I emailed the owner about the matter and also sent proof (photos of the VISA debit and the receipt of my cash payment), he refuses to refund us the overpaid amount! Even a phone call from my Danish daughter-in-law didn't do any good.

No/minimal view of water at tent site

We had booked this campsite because they advertise with views of Langesø at the tent pitches. Unfortunately, this did not apply at all.
The campsite is good, but as a tent-camper this is not a very good place if you want a view of the water, unfortunately. We had paid for two nights, but as the tent place did not meet our expectations, we left a day earlier - unfortunately with no possibility of refund of the money:/

A lovely, quiet and quiet place

This campsite lived fully and completely up to our expectations. Here were good stands, a well-functioning friendly and welcoming staff, a great location by the lake, and tranquility without it seemed striking.
The place can then definitely be recommended especially for the slightly older yeargang.
