Wonderful first stop on our Scandinavian trip!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were brilliant: friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The rooms are cosy, comfortable and stylishly designed, and the location is fantastic, with easy access to the metro and trains making it simple to get around Copenhagen.
And the breakfast deserves a special mention — probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had! So much choice and everything was delicious.
We also loved the free coffee available throughout the day and the relaxed, chilled-out atmosphere. The whole hotel has such a fun and welcoming vibe — exactly what you want after a day of exploring.
Moxy Copenhagen Sydhavnen was a fantastic start to our Scandinavian adventure. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back! Highly recommended. ❤️

Nice hotel
Soundproofed rooms, with all bathing supplies.
You get a voucher for a free drink where you can choose between vodka or gin. We were Max disappointed, then there was neither vodka nor gin in - a round of sweet juice, so you can just as well not give vouchers. I pull a ⭐️ off
Delicious brunch with everything the heart desires.
Location is go relative to Royal Arena.

Good hotel, but mixed experience with the staff
Unfortunately, the manager came across as quite rude and there was very little warmth in his attitude. The overall interaction was quite disappointing. But thankfully, Gabriela was wonderful. As soon as we got in touch with her, she immediately stepped in and gave us a room straight away. She was incredibly sweet and helpful, and we really appreciated her kindness after such a long wait.
The location is a little away from the main city centre and attractions, but it is conveniently close to the train stations. Breakfast was okay, although there wasn't anything particularly special for vegetarians.
Overall, a decent Moxy with good facilities.

Dangerous Room Air Quality Led to Medical Emergency — Management Refuses Accountability
We arrived late in Copenhagen from Lisbon, and I was completely healthy, breathing normally, and excited for our trip (I even have timestamped video footage showing I was 100% fine on the transit right before checking in). The moment we entered our assigned room, the air smelled extremely stale, and within seconds, I suffered a severe choking attack and an extreme allergic asthma reaction—something I have never experienced to this severity in my entire adult life. My throat constricted, my eyes watered profusely, and I literally could not breathe for over 30 seconds.
While the hotel eventually moved us to another room when my husband insisted, the damage was already done.
Whatever dust mites, airborne irritants, or poor ventilation issues exist in that room made me violently ill. The reaction was so severe that I had to take strong medication and lost an entire day of our Copenhagen trip recovering from the physical toll on my lungs and throat.
What makes this worse is the complete lack of care from hotel management:
Empty Promises: Staff promised they would follow up with us regarding the incident and never reached out once to check on my well-being.
Dismissive Management: When we raised the issue, management completely refused any refund or gesture of goodwill. They dismissively claimed I "could not prove" the room caused the reaction because I didn't visit a Danish emergency room, completely ignoring that airborne allergens/air quality cannot be physically photographed.
Zero Empathy: Rather than taking feedback on room air quality or showing basic hospitality, they hid behind excuses to dodge accountability.
If you have sensitive lungs, asthma, or environmental allergies, do not stay here. The poor room air quality paired with management’s total indifference toward guest safety makes this hotel a major health risk.
