Review
When booking, we specifically selected and paid for the renovated pool view room. The supplement for this category was about 20,000 rubles. We also booked a personalized shuttle service to get to the hotel faster, avoid queues and check in before large tourist groups.
However, upon arrival at the hotel, we were forced to wait for a long time at the reception under the pretext of lack of available rooms. At the same time, during our waiting period, first one large bus of tourists arrived, then a second bus with Canadian guests - and all of them were quickly checked in. We kept sitting at the front desk for hours, despite the fully paid reservation.
When we were finally provided with the room that evening, we were shocked by his condition. The room had mold on the walls and ceiling, and the room itself did not match the photos on the hotel's official website or the category we paid for. After our request for relocation, we were offered a second room, which also did not match the reservation: an old, worn-out, overlooking the technical ventilation structures instead of the swimming pool.
We contacted the reception, showed a voucher confirming the room category paid for and tried to explain the situation calmly. Particularly unpleasant was the interaction with Anna's manager. Despite the apparent inconsistency of the room with the stated category, she insisted that we were provided with exactly what we had booked. When I opened the hotel's official website and showed pictures of the renovated rooms to confirm our position, Anna irritatedly returned the voucher, claimed that there were no other rooms, and allowed herself to be rude to my husband.
After that, the staff seemed to be against us. No one tried to help solve the problem or even smooth the conflict. Throughout the rest we encountered a demonstrably unkind attitude on the part of this manager.
I would like to mention separately the situation regarding the additional package of privileges, which we also prepaid for. It included a lobster dinner. In fact, we were simply informed that the lobster had been cancelled and no compensation or alternative was available. It was only after a few requests to the guest service that we were arranged dinner at the restaurant à la carte. And that was the only thing that was achieved after many requests.
It is particularly disappointing that many of the hotel's positive aspects have been completely negated by the management's attitude and violation of the paid accommodation conditions. In my years of traveling around the world, this is the first time I have encountered such a level of indifference, unprofessionalism and outright brazenness.
I work in tourism myself and I'm well aware that force majeure happens. But honesty, respect for guests and a willingness to find solutions are important in these situations. Unfortunately, none of this happened here. After such an experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to my clients and acquaintances because I do not want other tourists to face the same attitude and spoiled holidays.
I attach photos of Anna's manager and plates.
The beach at the hotel I would say is perfect, the area is pretty, the green is visible to be courted. The food's not good.
Unfortunately, in this hotel it was management that proved to be the weakest link. The hotel's low level of customer orientation, lack of willingness to solve guest problems and unprofessional behaviour of individual employees negate all the hotel's virtues. I sincerely hope that the management will pay attention to the quality of the work of the management staff, because it is such employees who shape the reputation of the hotel and directly influence the guests' desire to return again.
