Lovely property that’s in a good site for exploring Split. It was very quiet, although out of season. Good communication from your hosts as this is is an Air B&B. Beware of a final payment for tax and cleaning.

The location is great! 3 mins walk to the Split old town. The Atmosphere is lovely, cosy room with nice design. The value is questionable as the Reception is always unmanned, we had no hot water for 2 days out of 4 and also the aircon fuse tripping out every two hours during one of the nights-in July it's quite needed to have aircon working properly especially when visiting from a colder country. Clean room however we've been asked to pay a 20 EURO cleaning fee which was a surprise... towels are not being changed daily neither a cleaner coming to refresh the room. If you are booking a ground floor room there can be noise and you can hear when someone listens to music or uses the indoor stairs. Value for money? 5/10 for this. £568 for 3 nights for 2 people doesn't justify the fact that we had so many issues.

convenient & comfortable place to stay
a lovely few days at stonemasons heritage, excellent location just a 5 minute walk to the old town and with plenty of restaurants/ supermarkets nearby.
the building and rooms are really nice, comfortable beds too with great air conditioning.
only a few downsides, such as the bathroom flooding every time we showered & the cleanliness of the room being below average.

Great location, great room, just be mindful of a few things!
Positives: The location is excellent, literally a minute walk from the palace and a couple of minutes from the seafront. The rooms were beautiful, a good size and had everything you could want with plenty of character. We were on the first floor in room 5 and the room had plenty of natural light, the bed was very comfortable and there was a kettle with tea and coffee, cups and glasses and soap, shower gel etc in the bathroom.
The room was clean, although this operates as more of an "air bnb" than a hotel as we didn't see any members of staff during our stay, and the room wasn't cleaned whilst we were there - which wasn't a huge issue as we were only there for 3 nights but might cause an issue if you were there any longer.
Negatives: The check in process was fairly stressful, we were told to WhatsApp the host before our arrival to let them know what time we'd be turning up, upon landing in Split we still hadn't had any response so when we arrived, the doors were locked and there was nobody there to help us. We called the host numerous times and it took some time before they came back to us with instructions on where to leave our bags as our room wasn't ready. The key is accessed via a lock box outside.
When we were able to get in to our room which wasn't until around 3pm, the lights didn't work. Again, we messaged the host to let them know and they said "they'd be there later" to sort it out with no ETA of how long we'd be waiting so felt like we couldn't leave the room until they turned up. However they did move us quickly to another room so it wasn't a big issue, but the communication just wasn't great.
The rooms were noisy in the evenings with a lot of loud music & shouting from outside, but perhaps to be expected over the weekend in a busy area.
The host also messaged us to ask us to leave 20 euros in the room when we left for "cleaning fees" - as we'd booked as a package holiday through EasyJet we didn't feel comfortable doing that as we'd not been told in advance of any additional costs and we felt very strongly that when you book a holiday, you don't expect to pay extra for them to clean your room when you leave! Perhaps if the room had been cleaned during our stay I'd be more inclined but given that it wasn't, seemed like a strange request.
So overall, a lovely room in a great location - but definitely isn't a hotel and shouldn't be advertised as such. It's an unserviced location and can be loud in the evenings. We would stay again, but definitely be prepared to be a bit out on a limb if you need to speak with the hosts!

It’s such a random accommodation.
Pros: Location was good, it’s outside of the hustle and bustle, but near enough to the central. Rooms and communal areas clean. Fridge very handy for summer days.
Cons: It can be very noisy, there were boys staying in the hotel next to this accommodation, and were out on the balcony (our window was looking directly at their balcony - its that close) playing loud music until 1am and then 4am-7am. Aware this wasn’t the accommodations fault, however it’s absolutely definitely not soundproof as it states.
We also didn’t see a single staff member during our 4 day visit. We were outside for 20 mins when we arrived waiting for someone, and even after that they just sent us a WhatsApp stating our room number.
It’s definitely ok, especially since you probably wont encounter the loud music. However you might be unlucky like we were and that will dampen your whole visit.
