Spectacular place! Spectacular beds, sheets and piece with a wonderful view, very good breakfast, you can also use the dining room and kitchen to do something

The place is very cute. Very comfortable rooms. The view of the beach is fantastic. It is surrounded by nature. Excellent space to disconnect from the big city. The service was very good. Cleanliness 10 out of 10.

What a Gem!

Staying at El Coo was a highlight of our time on the island. Gorgeous rooms with spectacular water views + views of Patagonia mountains (wow!), 5-star breakfast spread, and the perfect location to get that remote Chiloe feel. Paying a visit to the penguins a must. But our favorite of all: dinner and deep talks with our favorite new Chilean friend and host with the most: Pedro! And walks with Lucky the Dog. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better experience all around. We stayed here in January 2020 but TA won’t let me select that date so just adding that caveat here on actual travel date. Highly recommend!

An enchanted lodge

On arrival we found our host Pedro (subbing for his friend the owner) preparing a lunch of sea urchins and mussels with what I assumed were two old friends. Before he even showed us our room Pedro opened the fridge and laughingly explained in Spanish that the abundance of clams, mussels, and octopus had just come out of the sea. We had arrived in this remote peninsula in Chiloe to this homey modern space with views out to the endless sea and a trio of cosmopolites invited us to join them later for dinner. By nine another pair of guests, a glamourous couple from Paris arrived and joined the party. The first couple, hotel guests rather than old friends, were restauranteurs from Santiago, while Pedro was an engineer who lived in the city part of the month and on a nearby island the rest of the time. The Parisians were like us, passionate travelers, and spoke excellent English. For the next several hours we ate great seafood, laughed, and talked in a ridiculous combination of English and Spanish about our adventures. It was a completely wonderful mix of sophisticated people, hosted with aplomb by the charming Pedro. I can’t promise you this once in a lifetime party, but this beautiful tin house on the beach is definitely enchanted.
