Our room on the top floor was very large and had a distant view of the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious and filling. The only possible down side is the rough road to reach Cumbres de Chiloé. Be sure your car has ample under carriage clearance.

This is such a great, cosy place with wonderful, friendly staff. We ended up here at the last minute due to other lodging falling through, and they were super accomodating, getting us checked in early. The rooms are a good size with charming wood-trunk & plank furniture, and the bathrooms are super modern and up to date. The rooms have lovely views of the water (we started in one and shifted to the bigger room on our 2nd night). The breakfast was robust and they serve dinner if you don't want to head into town. If I had friends in the area, I'd absolutely recommend Cumbres!

Quiet hostel, poorly located

THE GOOD
The attention of the staff. Breakfast with homemade bread and the attention to detail. Wooden construction. The parking lot.
WHAT IS BAD OR IMPROVABLE
Lack of TV in bedroom. (You don't see much, but the option is always good to have). Weak Wifi. Better would be a bathroom with a glass door than plastic curtains. Soft mattress. Rooms not very soundproof. Lack of a small desk in the room (for work, this hotel is not a good option). Access to the gravel hotel. Difficult location of the hotel. Applications sent us through the Castro bypass and we lost half an hour trying to get there.

Beautiful and comfortable Lodge

Too spectacular stay!!! Starting with the attention of your hosts, the wonderful meals, and the lodge, ufff, on another level! All very very comfortable! Spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, clean and spacious bathroom. In general, all the facilities are very clean, tidy, comfortable and homely. I don't have anything negative to say, on the contrary, we didn't want to return to Santiago, it was a beautiful few days in Chiloé thanks to this beautiful family that welcomed us and looked after us wonderfully.

Great family stay

Very clean hotel. Excellent beds and well kept room. Excellent option for families because it has big rooms that easily sleep 5 people. It is a bit far the center of Castro and you need a car to get there but the view is amazing. Breakfast is very good but it is the only food served there. At night there is no place walking distance to get food so plan in advance.
