Agreeable stay

Agreeable stay. We had a very spacious room, two big soft beds, big bathroom, good shower and very quiet. Adjacent pub/restaurant. Stylish building with a past. Only one block from Victoria Harbour.

We had an excellent room at this family owned hotel. The bathroom was large and appeared recently remodeled - shower had excellent water pressure...The room had an adjustable HVAC system so we had the exact temperature we wanted and a night light so we did not need to stumble around in the dark. Other comments had mentioned street noise but we were on the 3rd floor on a Friday night and did not notice a problem except for a short period - perhaps about 1:30 am, probably when a nightclub next door shut down and people were leaving. The location is great - we needed to be close to the marine air terminal - and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Very disappointing stay – unable to sleep and felt unsafe
Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We were unable to get a proper night’s sleep because drilling and construction work continued until around 3:00 a.m. at the adjacent rooftop bar, which appears to be part of or affiliated with the hotel. The noise was so loud that sleeping was simply impossible.
In addition, homeless individuals and people who appeared to be under the influence of drugs were repeatedly staying directly in front of the hotel lobby. This made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe throughout our entire stay, particularly when entering and leaving the hotel.
What was especially disappointing was the hotel’s response to our complaints — or rather, the lack of one. Despite contacting the hotel about these issues, we never received any response or follow-up. We would have expected at least an explanation or some form of appropriate response from the management.
Overall, due to the severe noise disturbance, the lack of a feeling of safety, and the hotel’s failure to address our complaints, we cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

Room was spacious but not exceptionally clean. Music from the rooftop bar was VERY loud where we stayed (2nd floor). I wouldn’t have slept if I didn’t have ear plugs with by chance from the airplane. Offered coupons for attached liquor mart and restaurant. We attempted to dine in the restaurant but were startled to find a mouse running under the tables…the mouse ran back and forth under tables, after I had alerted the server, who did nothing and left us alone for 10 min. We, along with other patrons, did no stay. I would consider, seriously, as to staying here again.

No sleep - club music blaring until 2am

Rooftop bar played music and people were partying loudly very late. Room had poor insulation and the music was extremely loud even with ear plugs. Staff offered no solutions or remediation to improve the overall experience. Would not stay again.
