Such a sweet little hotel! Very clean, charming, and quiet, with helpful staff and thoughtful amenities. Our room included a mini fridge and electric kettle. Walkable to many food options, downtown Toronto, Kensington Market, and RBC Amphitheater. Safe area; we walked back from a concert at RBC late at night without any safety concerns as two women. Parking in the Metro garage was secure and easy. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Picked the Gladstone House for the historic masterpiece that it is. So much charm and preserved history. Would definitely come back!
Our room faced Gladstone Ave and it was a little loud at night with garbage trucks and such but we had earplugs and had no trouble sleeping.

Even though we haven’t stayed at The Gladstone in years we were not disappointed. It is a very welcoming environment, whether you need a lift in the vintage elevator or a delicious breakfast in the morning they have it. The room was bright and clean and the bedding very comfy. The updated bathroom was extremely clean and complete with soft towels and a big walk in shower. We will definitely be back.😃

Located about 20 min from downtown Toronto, this was a nice location to be out of the city. The neighborhood is a little bit grittier than I expected, but totally safe!
My issues were more about the hotel itself. 1) Hopefully you’re able-bodied as this hotel has stairs at every corner. Only one small, old-time elevator that has to be operated by staff. Cute, but annoying to hear all the suitcases clomping against the wooden stairs.
2) I was on the second floor right by the exit doors. The exit door was so loud I was alerted every hour or two that someone was using it - even in the dead of sleep.
3) because I was by the exit door, everyone who went outside for a smoke (tobacco or weed), the smell came into my room. Again, at all hours.
4) there was a wedding one night and I happened to be right above the reception. Incredibly loud music and vibrations until 1am on a Sunday night. I complained and got a late check-out and $50 off prev room service. That’s nice and all, but I’m still really confused on why that room was left for non -wedding guests.
I wouldn’t stay here again as there are better options -perhaps cheaper and nicer, but also in a different neighborhood.
Not horrible, still very clean and safe! Just not for me.

A perfectly enjoyable stay in a cool area with great bars and restaurants. Hotel has a lot of history and it was great to see that history scattered around the hotel in different forms. The original- still working- elevator was wonderful. Staff were always helpful and accommodating. The pool table on floor 3 was a great amenity to have and we played many enjoyable games. The hotel acknowledged my Platinum Status with a bottle of decent red wine (and card) from the Niagara region which was great. The room was a deluxe corner with dual aspect views. The room was lovely with lots of light, good AC, a good sized fridge and even better, big mugs for tea along with a coffee machine. The bathroom was decent with a solid shower and nice toiletries. The control to raise and bring down the blinds was fun and very helpful due the numerous windows. The letdown with the room, especially as we booked the highest tier to get a dual aspect for light and sense of openness, were the very dirty windows which spoiled the view and feel very of the room very much. The Wi-Fi cutting out quite often was also a negative, even more so when you wish to do a bit of work. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
