Great location

Great location. Friendly staff. Only issue was being locked out when i arrived at midnight as the bar is the reception desk
Fair price. Room was clean. Shower water pressure great. They offered parking down the road which was great as i could come and go as i please

3 day stay and it was perfect.

Stayed 3 nights for my daughter's wedding in St Johns. The room was perfect, with a large walk-in shower and bath, 2 large beds, situated on the back of the hotel on the first floor, which was quieter. The room was spotlessly clean. Coffee maker, with supplies, and a fridge. Seating in the bar and restaurant was comfortable. Staff were extremely polite and friendly. The restaurant food was good. We took breakfast as a couple. The menu was varied with large portions. I took the 2-egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. On the second evening, we dined as a family party of 8. This did not hold up the service. The food arrived on time, and was excellent. I look forward to my next visit.

Creative menu, classy space, great location and professional service

Great location and an amazing ambiance!
Food surprisingly GOURMET. I had a lunch special of the day, zesty chicken/ Caesar salad sandwich on rye bread with fries. It was such a creative fusion of tastes!!!
Beer selection was great, and my Stella was crisp cold and served in a beautiful chalice.
Highly recommend!

The very best meal we had...

The food is fabulous, the chowder I had was almost a deconstructed dish, with every morsal, the tender cod, the fine radishes, the mussels, the creamy broth, a n experience in itself - and they came together wonderfully. This is amodest place with unpretentious chefs, but they seem to have lots of talent. We loved it!

Fantastic

We loved the personalized service. Shout out to Elizabeth who checked us in, showed us to our room and then served us at lunch.Room was spacious and cosy with a gorgeous bathroom and bathrobes. The food at lunch and dinner was divine, fresh, interesting and beautifully plated. If you are looking for a small, boutique hotel then would highly recommend. The bar and restaurant are hopping, we stayed on a Wednesday and the room was soundproof, not sure what it would be like on a weekend.
