The room was relatively clean and the tub/bath seemed brand new. Unfortunately, the property and decor was just kind of dated, which can leave the impression of not being clean just because of its age.
They said they have 24 hour check-in and I arrived around 9:30 PM. No problem doing so. But neither the person who checked me in nor the person who handled my checkout this morning or any type of staff uniform. There is no actual vanity in the bathroom, it was just a piece of plywood to cover plumbing under the sink. And the bottom of it was looking unkempt. Possibly some water damage. The brand new tub/shower had a 80s feel shower curtain. Hallway decor was dark and dated.
But I had a clean bed that was comfortable and compared to what I could’ve paid to stay in the city, the price was reasonable.

The price is low, and it shows.
The hotel desperately needs better management and better staff.

Unfortunately what would have been an excellent stay was clouded by my check-in experience. I checked in very late at around 1.30am and had advised the hotel of this. The "Night Manager" was lounging on the foyer chairs when I arrived and seemed very disengaged and unfriendly. He gave me my room key and I was in total shock when I entered the room and saw what I thought were articles of clothing in the room as I searched for the light switch. I then heard movement and quietly asked if anyone was there. I then saw the figure of a female crawling out of the bed and apologised profusely as I quickly backed out of the room as quickly as I could. This could have been a very serious incident and I was very relieved that the woman, who seemed to be on her own, acted as peacefully and quietly as she did. I returned to the Reception desk and advised the Night Manager of the incident. Without so much as an apology, he issued me with another room key and sent me on my way. The rest of my stay went without incident and I found the Day Staff to be very efficient, engaging and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily and overall the facilities were more than adequate. It was only my initial check-in experience that clouded my overall rating of the hotel.

Unfortunately the whole place smells like dirty armpit so I went to another hotel for the first night.
The next day I called in the afternoon to upgrade the room to a 2-bed and they refused.. the travellers booked somewhere else so I ended up paying a room for nothing
