Super Location

We had a 2-day stay at the waterfront motel, which is a great location to the massive park and beach in front of the property. Rooms were clean and from what I heard, were the best pick from the 3 motels on this end of the lake. Seems to be much more chill on the Skaha side, which was nice. The beach was super clean and not too crowded.
You may need to drive to get some of basics ( food, etc. ) but not a deal breaker.
Just a note, gets a bit pricey on the weekends as opposed to the weekdays.

The first room I got was disgustingly dirty and smelled like mold and smoke and wet dog. I asked a clean room. She seemed annoyed and never apologizedThe next room had dog piss marks all over the carpets and it smelled like someone just smoked a joint.
Luckily it had a separate room for the bed so I disinfected everything with my spray
I got my own blankets and air fresheners .s
I basically confined myself to the bedroom
Paint job looked like a child that failed art class painted it. No follow up as to how the second room was and because it was late I just stayed in the room and slept. It was also not cleaned properly and still lots of spilled on the wall and base boards.
The exterior was also a mess. Basically this place is looking ok’ing to make some quick money and not putting it back into the hotel to make it cleaner and nicer.

The problem with the cleaning is not the staff, it is the impossible expectations of the hotel administration. The rooms are like little houses with a kitchen, living area, patio and all, so it is not possible to clean these rooms as average hotel rooms. The hotel runs under staffed. The maintenance was not good, as well. There were stains on the washed towels, which should be replaced with new ones.
Despite their work load, Bony at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful, cannot say the same for Jean, though. Maybe she was having a bad day.
The location of the hotel could not be any better, both the park and the beach are could not be closer.
Parking was very easy.

Old and dated. Only positive is the location. Quick walk to the beach, tennis courts, ice cream, restaurant.

There was no water in the bathroom and something was left on the floor. Neither bedroom nor main room lights worked. Upon arrival at 4:15 pm the office door was locked and a housekeeper said there was a meeting and come back in 30 minutes. When I came back there was a line-up. I didn’t get my room until 5:15 pm.
