The lady at the front desk was quite rude and moody ... and our room smelled very musty and dirty.

The room was definitely in need of some renovations.
Carpet had ripples, bathroom ceiling was flaking, the exhaust fan didn’t work, shower fixtures were dripping and the tub stopper was broken.
I found the interior lighting to be poor and in need of upgrading.
Parking was tight but doable.
On the upside: check in was friendly and efficient.
In room coffee was surprisingly good.
The AC worked well which was important with temps of 32 C, and the bed was quite comfortable.

The owner was very nice and was quick to fix the air conditioning in my unit when I made him aware it wasn’t working properly the first night. The only real issue I have is the lack of cleanliness of the room and the broken staircase. The room was still very dirty when we went in. The bathroom had a noticeable line of dirt around the bathtub. The toilet did not get cleaned on the outside or around the toilet seat. The sink was gross. It smelled like cigarettes in there and there was multiple burn spots on the carpet and chair.

We were in town on short notice for a funeral so all other Hotels were booked up. This Motel was tired. Carpet was all stretched out, stained, just plain gross. Sink and tub both drained so slow. Room smelled so bad of cigarette smoke it was sick. Air conditioner was dirty, so loud and front was all broken. Thankfully it was a rainy cool weekend or we would have cooked. Stairs to the top floor were crumbled and roped off. Parking was really tight for a 3/4 ton pickup. Location was right by McDonald’s so great for coffee or breakfast in the mornings. Restaurants and gas close by.
