This team of owners are the star of the stay! Love them and this motel!!

This was my second stay! I was working in Pembina and this motel was only a 7 minute drive and had 5.0 star ratings/ reviews on TripAdvisor.
This motel is a gem! Frank and Faye have done a fabulous job freshening up this older motel. This place is spotless!! Beds & bedding were nice, decor is fresh while modest. You get a lot for your money here!! I didn't expect a fancy place in Emerson for this reasonable rate. I greatly appreciated this modest place.
This owner team running the place were very friendly an accommodating - I had a fairly late arrival my first stay and they picked up some of my families favorite Canadian candy for me for my second stay.
Definitely will return and recommend the Maple Leaf Motel.

Clean, cheap, close to border.

I don't understand the 5 star ratings. 3 stars is generous probably more of a 2 star property. The room we had was very dated and worn but it was clean and cheap. I had an appointment with to renew my nexus and this is one of the very few accommodations near the border. I wouldn't stay again.

Like home, with two incredible owners who really, really care.

Fred and Diane, who own and run the Maple Leaf Motel, are solid gold! The warmth and engagement is superb. They know everyone in town, and it was so fun to have them give me the "inside tour" of Emerson. There's a Pho restaurant in town that has knockout-good everything! The Maple Leaf is so comfortable, like a big cozy easy chair. Not fancy like the big time properties - it's like being at your family house. Fred took the time to take me around Emerson and point things out for my TV reporting shoot. He even got out his air compressor and made sure my front tires were up to specs. I couldn't say more about how good they are. They JUST ARE! Bless these people. I'd come back anytime!

Clean Room with Incredible Price

The room is basic but has everything you need and was spotless. We received excellent service for an incredible price. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to the park, pool area and local bar.

Clean room - friendly staff

The room was very clean and a warm refuge on a cold night - there are limited choices in a small town and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was well equipped, and there was plenty of hot water - If I could criticize anything at all, it would be that I had to unplud something to plug in my laptop.
