Fantastic Stay

Great location! Right on the Main Street within walking distance to resturaunts & shops. Room clean, nice little table/chairs outside the room. Easy check in/out. Would stay here again.

It was too hot, the air conditioning did very little to lower the temperature. Fire alarm detector kept turning on every 1-2 through our last night requiring me to get up and reset it.

Good location

We stayed at the Lamphouse for 4 nights on our recent stay in the Canmore area.
The room was clean and had everything we needed. Free parking on site was a plus. Everything was within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. The town of Canmore was very beautiful and easy to navigate. Not nearly as crowded as Banff and Lake Louise. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Nice rooms and great location

Great location and very nice rooms. But it feels more like a motel- not a hotel. It’s expensive but preferred option to stay here instead of Banff.

Knew it was basic for amenities, but this is a motel, not a hotel as represented in the description. Very sparse amenities, and desk only available from 2:30-10:30 pm during our stay. While it worked fine for us, there is no noise blocking AT ALL. If you have trouble sleeping or it’s busy season and you need a quiet place, I’d skip this one. No elevators, so if you have any issues with stairs request the first floor. It was fine, but don’t think I’d use a Base Camp property in the future if I can avoid it. Reviews made it sound nicer than what it is. It was pretty clean and the bed wasn’t too bad, so that was a plus.
