We stopped here before our onwards journey through Canada. The hotel is clean, albeit very tired looking, but the need was super big and comfy and this was all we needed.
We didn’t spend much time in the room, but the hotel is in need of an upgrade but with that would come increase in prices so for £70 for the night it was ideal.
Theres a few places within 5 minutes walking distance you can go for dinner / breakfast although most are fast food but just something to get you through the day.
If you don’t want to pay a fortune this hotel is basic but clean !

A mixed bag.

This hotel is a mixed bag.
It’s really well positioned on the C-train line (approx 2 mins walk behind the hotel) for central Calgary (which is why we chose it), it had a fantastic bed and the staff were lovely.
However…it was slightly seedy! The room was HUGELY dated, although clean, didn’t have functioning wall air conditioning, so a vent was out the window from a unit, which let so much noise in.
The bathroom (see photos) again clean was pretty shabby.
The walk to the C-train around the back of the hotel did have some homeless people lingering and although they didn’t bother us, were a little intimidating to walk past. They would also walk up past the entrances to the hotel.
The carpet was so old I think it was laid in the 50’s and had quite a few suspicious stains.
So although it’s well placed and good value for a pit stop, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The air conditioning didn't work very well. They brought us a fan. That one rattled, so another one. Hair on bathroom floor and sink. Homeless laying on the property around the building. Not a do over!

Convenient location to the transit line.
Hotel room was basic and had only a fridge so will have to consider dinner options.
Decent size room but didn’t use any of the facilities to give feedback (pool or gym)

So there are no phones in the rooms in r pool area which is odd considering if there is an emergency. Homeless and drugged up people all around this hotel. Cleanliness isn’t up to par and it’s a made trying to find your room. For the price-($150 for two double beds) if you just want a place to lay your head, sure, it works. But I wouldn’t recommend if you’re planning a romantic night away or having expectations. It’s quite sad to see the surroundings…
