This was a really nice little motel. The grounds were nicely kept, the rooms were very clean and really cute, beds were comfy, and I loved the fact that he had large bottle of shampoo, etc rather than those small ones that are terrible for the environment. The place had more of an Airbnb feel than a motel.
The only challenge was upon checking out, my co-worker and I needed a receipt for the stay, and we could not reach the manager. We rang the doorbell several times, with no response, so we had to leave without the paperwork. Overall though, great stay.

This was the smallest room we experienced from a budget motel on our 6 day trip by car from Ottawa to Vancouver. The bathroom (4 piece) was cramped. One reason I have given it a poor rating is there was a very noticeable bad smell like mildew or something of the sort, in the bedroom, although the place was very clean, the bed comfy and it contained the requisite fridge, freezer, coffee maker and bedside tables etc. But the price was at least 1/3 again more expensive than the average price for the other motels we stayed at. So the size of the room and bathroom, the bad odour and the price all determined for me the rating. Incidentally, there was a taco place (but offering much more) about 5 minutes up the road to Prince George (#97) which felt as if we were dropped into a Mexican cantina in Mexico, and the food was good and offered generous toppings of whatever was ordered. Definitely worth a visit. Speak Spanish if you know how! Finally, if you can drive down highway 99 instead of 1 to get to your next stop do so, it is spectacular beyond belief but you can't be rushed as the road is winding, but the scenery encourages a very leisurely pace. The day we went down there was little traffic. The Fraser River Canyon was a highlight of our drive from Ottawa to Vancouver, all Canada side. It also gets you into Vancouver from the north side. Very convenient for catching the Horshoe Bay Ferry to Vancouver Island.

Property was fine, very friendly staff, bathroom wasn’t cleaned the best (grime buildup in shower, dirty sink). But it was still fine

I had a great stay at this motel and would definitely stay here again. The mountain view was absolutely beautiful and made the whole experience even more relaxing. The room itself was very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-kept. What really stood out was the front desk staff, who were incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived. Overall, a wonderful experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and scenic stay.
