Perfect place for a stopover
I decided on a last minute trip to Comox and found this place to have the only rooms available in the area.
Not a bad location, the price was good. I stayed up on the 2nd floor in Room 8. My view was of the Pacific Ocean, very basic room. No AC, but the bed was super comfortable, towels excellent, shower had enough hot water, overall a very good stay.
There are stairs done to the shoreline and signs clearly warning that you use at your own risk.

Adequate for price
First I must say the lady that owns this place is really nice & very pleasant & helpful . But..... the place is in desperate need of updating. We stayed in room 4 for 3 nights and this had a musty smell. We moved to room 8 for another 4 nights which was better and had a great view over the ocean but to see out window you needed to stand up. Had a separate bedroom but without a TV. This was in lounge area but was too high when seated on uncomfortable seats. Plus side is it was clean except where a lot of people don't dust like picture frames. 8 apartments with close parking 4 up and 4 down. Perhaps it's ok for the money but would I go there again, the answer would be no unless there was nothing else available in the area. Wifi was not great either.

Quick stopover
We checked in to the Edgewater Motel on our way up to Sointula. The room was a kitchenette, had almost everything one could need, and was clean and tidy. The rooms here are very tiny, so consider the Edgewater as a stopover, and not a place to grow some roots for a vacation.

We stayed at the Edgewater while renovating our rental in Willow Point!. Great location off the highway, very nice owners.
We stayed in unit 7, it is outdated but very clean, nice linens , comfy bed. Would recommend a more comfortable sitting area. Nice fenced area for the dogs to sniff around. Outside area to smoke which my husband used. 5 -10 minute drive to Saratoga Beach which we were able to grab a coffee at forbidden pizza in the early am before we went to the house for renos

Nice View & Comfy Bed in #8
Sandy & I originally booked 3 days here via booking.com but then changed our minds and decided to cancel our trip just hours later. Unfortunately, when we tried to cancel we were stung with cancelation fee of $89 which is the cost of each night to stay. The thought of the Edgewater owners taking our money (with tax just over $100) without lifting a finger really got to us. So we decided to stay the one night.
As we had seen from other reviews we got to stay in the room with the best view which is #8. The view IS pretty decent. They also had a freshly mowed backyard where we could relax at a picnic table and enjoy the view.
The bed was very comfy. We had a good sleep. The floors and windows were clean. The kitchenette was well equipped with a microwave, small fridge, stove with an oven and coffee maker.
That was the pros; here are the cons. 1.The B&D coffee maker leaked. For some reason, when the coffee comes out of the bottom to the pot, it tends to drip from three places which ends up making a mess.
2. The toilet would fill after flushing but then constantly run/drip after the tank was full. I was able to fix the running by adjusting the float.
3. The shower was nice and clean except for a few hairs in the tub presumably from the last tenants, but there was black mould around the window. There is also a horribly rusty shower rod mounted just under the window; if you grab onto it while showering you will get a fistful of rust particles. Yuck!
