Decent hotel

Simple hotel, comfortable bedding, and clean room...certainly not my usual standards, but given the friendliness and sense of service of all the staff, I had a pleasant stay.
The restaurant is like the simple hotel, well served...maybe a little long...

Standard two-star hotel in Yaounde

You can tell the quality of an hotel by the staff and at time if check-in, neither staff members made any effort at all to smile or make us feel at all welcome.
Thank goodness for a hot shower.
Breakfast was due from 06.30, but at 06.55 the restaurant was closed and the receptionist was not going to make eye contact with me. I left and found breakfast elsewhere. I came back to my room several times during the day and the telephone would ring, but there would be no-one there, or there would be a housekeeper lurking outside.
In short, I did not feel at all safe staying there and would not do so again. I would certainly not leave anything of value in the room.

Alright stay

The first issue I had and which I also faced even at the Mont Febe is avoid online bookings. I kept calling to make sure they got my reservation which I had done via booking.com a week earlier. When I got to the hotel I was given a regular room meanwhile I had paid for a luxury tein room.
Tried the beef fillet with rice and it was terrible. The food was served with bread which I should say is a plus for them. On the first night, the bathroom light didn’t come on but it got fixed the next day after I raised the complaint.
The next day the staff were willing to help me print off something only there was no Internet connection. I asked for my room to be cleaned and 4 hours later upon my return, the bed was still not made up.
The hotel is centrally located, right on the road and impossible to miss. It is a short walk from the Omnisport stadium in Quartier FOUDA. The linen and towels were very clean and the bed comfortable. During my stay, the Kenyan and Batswana Girl Volley Ball players were being lodged here for the African Volley ball cup 2017 finals.
Overall I’ll probably stay here again, only thing is don’t expect anything fancy.

Good food

Clean rooms good cook and polite staff. Located in a calm quiet area. The bathrooms are a bit small but it's ideal for a business stay. Get a room with backside view for a more peaceful quiet and calm stay

Research trip

This is a decent hotel, very clean, employees are very nice and friendly; but my only concern was the Internet. It would come and go from time to time. I understand they are still building, which could be the reason.
Location is great, the bar-restaurant is fantastic, and people very friendly. Outside the hotel, food is very diverse: don't be afraid to try something new. For transportation, you have several choices: pay 250 CFA(50¢), and travel in group or 2000fcfa($5) and be alone in your cab. They call it Depot!!!
