Jungle expierience!

In the middle of the jungle, you can't see it, but when you get off the boat and literally walk into the jungle, you see the lodges.
We missed the air conditioning to be honest. It was very hot.
Lovely staff and a tip: go on an adventure to the mangrove and/or the waterfall. Food is delicious! Preserving nature is at the top of this list. Highly recommended.

Rainbow Lodge: a very pleasant change of pace!

During 2 weeks in August 2026, our family (consising of 2 adults & 2 children aged 8 & 5) traveled around Cambodia. Having visited & enjoyed the busier environments of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap & Battambong prior, Rainbow Lodge offered a very pleasant change of pace.
The jungle location was peaceful & beautiful, the people running Rainbow Lodge were so nice & respectful, the bungalows were simple but had everything we needed (i.e. bedding & a refreshing shower), the activities on offer (we did the Mangrove Tour & the jungle trek) are so much fun, and the freshly prepared food was stunning.
I would advise people to look into Rainbow Lodge before booking a stay, as I can imagine it's not for everyone: the showers in the bungalows do not have hot water since it's an eco-lodge that provides all of its own power, dinner is served at 7 PM and everyone eats the same menu (you don't know what you'll be served beforehand, but it was delicious every evening), getting to the lodge and hiking in the jungle are physical activities that require some effort, the rooms had fans but no air conditioning, the lodge is only accessible via boat, etc.
For us, however, all of the elements mentioned above, were only pluses. Anyone with a heart for nature and a bit of adventure, will surely think the same. Absolute gem of an accommodation!

Trek, swim and return by boat

The room was perfect, and spotless no critters to be seen anywhere! The team were amazing and extremely accommodating, very friendly and helpful throughout. It was truly an amazing experience, one which I recommend to everyone, I will be back!

The mighty jungle

We had such a wonderful stay in the Rainbow Lodge. We stayed for three nights and booked a kayak trip in the mangroves and a splendid hike in the jungle to see the waterfall. If you want to experience nature, this is the place to be. Pi Room and Gee are such experts guides and nice people. If you just want te relax: you can take a dip in the river. My kids (12 and 15) just could'nt get enough of jumping from the platform. To top this off, there is the delicious food (and special treats for fussy eaters...) Thanks Pi Room, Gee and the entire team of Rainbow Lodge to give us an unforgettable experience and to protect this valuable forest.

Disappointing

The place is worn down no aircon no refrigerator in the room wifi seemed only in the lounge and strongly limited. No daily cleaning. Staff super cute and helpful owner absent. Logically worked impeccably
