So exceptional is The Excelsior - so absolutely perfect in every detail - that it'll amaze you - without any exceptions. Its gorgeously fitted out; the staff and extremely gracious and it has abundant unique features that make a stay so memorable. For breakfast, the Newsroom Cafe serves utterly delightful a la carte fare - in a gorgeous environment and with exceptional staff. It's perfect.

Unique in Yangun

Very nice luxury hotel, in a colonial style: chic, refinement and elegance. The staff is very attentive, smiling, kind. A high quality restoration, worthy of a Michelin star. Congratulations to the chef and the whole team.

Very good experience

Very nice hotel and very nice facilities
The bed is amazing
The street of the hotel a little confuse, but the hotel e very nice
The hotel is located on the heart of the old city center. You can reach by walk several places

Luxury hotels in central Yangon

We used the rainy season promotion to stay.
Too bad the promotion didn't have a bathtub.
The wifi signal was not good. The use of the hair dryer was changing and it was hard to use.
Breakfast was a bit different from a buffet, where you could choose any number of dishes from the menu. I ordered more dishes because each one was small, but if you are in a hurry, it would take longer to order more.
The restaurant at this hotel is comfortable, so it is usually good to visit for lunch or a cafe.

Charm of a modern palace

What we liked:
- the mix old and new, really unique style
- my favorite bathroom with marble shower
- kindness of Reception head Raj who was good and fun
- dinner service and had my favorite wine Vinum on their list
What we did not like
- long drive from airport with big traffic jam
- soups were a bit small portion, we tried different one
- no local beer available
