Nice and quiet

We stayed for four nights. It's a quiet and clean hotel, 15 min. away from Harmany beach and about the same distance from Central Sozopol beach. Good clean rooms and nice pool with jacuzzi. Would recommend for couples.

Hotel response

Dear prospective Guests,
As a company rule, we at Villa Valeev tend not to comment on our guests’ reviews as a token of respect for other people's right to provide opinion and constructive feedback. In the particular case however, we feel obliged to respond as the entire review is based on false and willfully distorted information!
In brief, the above guest - Yana Cholakova from Yambol, Bulgaria - checked in together with a single companion in a studio room. A couple of days later, the guests inquired about the possibility for us to accommodate 3 more friends of theirs. Since there were no rooms available at the time, out of courtesy the group of 5 was offered to spend the night in Yana's studio room after being provided with an extra portable bed and extra sets of linen and towels, for a marginal additional fee which is listed in our pricing policy. After discussing, the group informed us that the newly arrived persons have found another accommodation and did not want to stay with us. At 2am the same night however, the group of 5 was seen entering the building without previously informing any of the staff and without signing in at the reception. After being kindly asked whether their intentions have changed, the extra 3 persons expressed a wish to spend the night at the hotel, were signed in, were provided with bed, linen and towels, and were charged according to our pricing policy.
We would rather not comment on the offensive language used in the above review, as in our opinion it unambiguously speaks of the moral values, integrity and qualities of its author.
Kind regards,
Villa Valeev Team

Nice place

The hotel's location is not bad although it's on a hill so people with cars have to be extra careful where to park as there is not much space. Rooms are clean and standard (working wifi, airconditioner, tv, and so on). Friendly staff. Pool was clean all the time. Only complaint is about the breakfast as just one girl is acting like a waitress and this proved to be not such a good idea when you have like 20 people waiting for a breakfast. She had trouble remembering our orders and was overwhelmed by her job to say the least. Breakfast was not impressive - eggs and toast with some butter and jam. It's a starter but nothing more. However there are two mini markets nearby so you can get cheap fruits, water, juice etc. Overall - nice and inexpensive place to spend your week off in Sozopol.

Just skip

Positive:
Well mannered lady at reception, decent interior, decent location, pool.
Negative:
You only get one key (and one electronic chip that lets you access the villa) per room, even if you rented the apartment which holds 4 people, so you better have perfect organisation or you need to start waking people up in the middle of the night.
Breakfast, oh, the breakfast ... That is maybe the worst service we've seen to this day. Breakfast is served in the small cafe on the ground floor. You have 3 choices and they are all bad. Very low quality products, terrible coffee. We had to wait up to 20 minutes to order and the waiter had terrible attitude.
The air conditioning only works as long as the balcony doors are closed, which is super nice 'cause none of you smoke or just want some fresh air or enjoy the view ... right?
The bath is a mess - low water pressure and the bath stays steamy, wet and hot for days (in this case its a bad thing .. ok?)

The best welcome even with a last minute booking

We had reservations at another hotel which ended up being cancelled upon our arrival.
Luckily we found Villa Valeev and came late that night with a booking made only 10 minutes earlier which they had not even had the chance to see yet and still they made us feel soooo welcome!
The location is great, the apartment is super fresh, friendly staff in general.
The only two minuses are
-Poor water pressure in the shower
-Breakfast (included) serving is a bit slow and not really service minded
But! Neither is a reason not to book this amazing place! Love it!
