Three night break

Having toured extensively through Bulgaria over 11 days we decided to have a rest before heading home. We opted for an apartment and it proved to be a good choice. We were on the 7th floor so got afternoon sunshine and views over the mountains and the city. Please be aware there is an apartment block directly opposite so no privacy . The metro station in nearby but we walked into the city which took about 30 minutes. The place is great, modern and fully kitted out. The bed was very comfy and plenty of storage space. We were a bit disappointed with Sofia so would suggest a two night stay is ample, head away Into the country and see the real Bulgaria and prices drop significantly!! Eating out locally proved a slight problem, but we found a reasonable large place near the metro which played good rock music!!

Perfect apartment

Venice apartment was very big and beautiful. Everything was new. There is free parking in front of the building or you can put your car in the garage for 5 eur per day. Near apartment, there are many markets and restaurants. Everything was perfect. Good wi-fi many TV channels...

• We ( myself & my partner) were very very pleased with our stay at Venice Apartment, The apartment is very elegant, modern and very well-equipped for a comfortable stay. On arrival, a bottle of good red wine was awaiting us, also there was water, coke & beer free of charge in the minibar. The small kitchen allowed us to prepare some light food whenever we needed too. The bedroom has a double comfortable bed and a big wardrobe, with Iron facilities & also a 32 inch LCD TV. Living room have 42inch LCD TV and very comfortable Sofas. Free Wireless internet was available as well. The shower is great too, with built-in lights and radio while Toiletries was also provided…..( Also note that there is a washing machine available as well…which is a great bonus…although it isn’t mentioned on the website) if you have children or fly to Sofia with a low cost airline then it will come handy for sure…..
The apartment was very warm in the winter time with the central heating on. It is located in a new building just 12/15 min walk from the National Palace of Culture and City Center shopping mall. It was very quiet neighbourhood, at the same time quite central - location was excellent. There was a nice small supermarket only few minutes walk away.. Metro, Tram, Taxis are all nearby….almost at the door step. Actually the photos doesn’t do justice.
The Fantastic Host Nicolay ( He is a very excellent ambassador of Bulgaria for his patience, kindness, knowledge & dedication to provide an excellent service to others) Provides free pick up from the airport and also a free 3-4hrs tour of Sofia Centre, also you can arrange with him the drop off to the airport as well….
We also took, 3 tours with him which all 3 where wonderful & worth it every euro spend on them, they are not rushed, Nicolay provides a friendly service and also stopped whenever we felt like to take some photos… we enjoyed Lunch together on 2 of the trips & also had spent great days out.
We did the Following tours with Nicolay:
½ day - Vitosha and Boyana Church tour (€30 for both of us) Rating 9/10
Full day - Rila Monastery and the city of Blagoevgrad (€80 for both of us) Rating 9/10
Full day - Koprivshtitsa (€75 for both of us) Rating 9/10
IF you are renting the apartment for a week …..then these tours above are a must in our modest opinion as normaly 2/3days are enough for Sofia….while to go on self giuded day trips out side of Sofia isnt that straight forward….
Would defenatly return if we are back in sofia some time in the future.
Keep it up Nicolay you are doing a great Job at a very reasonable Price…

Very comfortable stay

My partner and I stayed at the Venice Apartment in January 2013. The owner, Nicolay who is a really nice and friendly person, picked us up and drove us to the airport himself at no extra charges. We took some of the excursions he organizes himself and we enjoyed all of them, including the places we stopped for lunch and coffee. The apartment looks great, it was equipped with all necessities and Nicolay was kind enough to leave some soft drinks, beer and water in the fridge, tea and coffee in the cupboards, even shower gel and soap in the bathroom. The apartment is just 10 minutes away from Sofia city centre. I would definitely recommend Nicolay and his apartments to whoever is visiting Sofia. Thank you Nicolay :)

I'm not sure what happened with GreteRatzinger, but to the contrary I found the owner Nicolay polite, helpful et al. He picked us up at the airport FREE OF CHARGE, showed us round the apartment (which was spacious, clean, with all mod cons and a balcony), we had a FREE mini bar - fresh juice, mineral water, beer and a much deserved bottle of wine! He then offered to take us on a FREE 3-4 hour guided tour of the city which we couldn't partake in on that day. I cannot sing Nicolay's praises enough. I booked through Hotels.com and paid approx £30 per night for the apartment and was very impressed with both the apartment and the owner! I also asked Nicolay various questions by email prior to our visit and received very prompt and courteous replies. Upon arrival he informed us we could contact him at any time if we had any queries or needed help in any way. I have visited many countries and been impressed by the customer service I have received but none surpasses this. Once again, thank you so much Nicolay for being so kind to me on my trip to your fantastic country. Kate. XxX
