An interesting Hostel

Good location (at old town), super friendly and helpful staffs, good wifi. The building is old because it is at historical place. It is an interesting and warm hostel (feel people like your family). I had very good time and met new friends. Recommend hikers hostel.

very bad experience. I don't recommend it at all

Well, I don't even know where to start. First of all I give it one star because it is not possible to give it -10.
One piece of advice, don't even think about sleeping here.
The room below looks like the prisons of third world countries, inhuman holes that look like niches, or concentration camps, the bathrooms are dirty and some have no locks, the showers are full of hair and one has no lock, the kitchen is on the street, They gave us a dovecote to sleep in, with a window without glass or anything, my mattress was several folded blankets and a cushion from a sofa that I think they found on the street. At night early in the morning birds and pigeons came in, chirping and not allowing us to sleep. At night a mouse roams around the room. The people without respect going up and down shouting and with music both downstairs and upstairs and with some drunkenness that you can't see and on top of that entering the room, which was occupied by two of my friends and I, turning on the light and having to kick them out. People sleeping in the patio. You can't even stand up on top. The mattresses with more shit than I think are taken from the trash, the curtains in the prison room with blood and more shit than in a trash can. Here's some advice, don't even think about sleeping here, it's worse than a third world prison. I have seen better places for beggars than this hostel. I have slept in many places in my life and by far it is the worst place in the world

Messy dorm, good location

This hostel has a nice view from the dorm, a cool owner and nice food which was included in the price. The dorm, accommodating over 12 people, has lockers.
Drawbacks:
- the dorm configuration was partly done as a 'cube' setup. This gives good privacy on one hand, but is hard to ventilate. Especially with a full dorm and hot weather, this gets problematic
- even though there are lockers available, hardly any of the guests bothered to use them. The result: a hideous mess of backpacks, flipflops and more random clothes on the floor. Back to high school everyone. Yay !
- no decent bathrooms; combing hair or shaving was in plain view of everyone
- this building has been transformed in order to let it function as a hostel. It is noticeable that this has been done in a very low cost option; bare pressed-chips sheet wood is not pleasing for the eye

Thank you for the review I hope you enjoyed the food and drinks which at night which were not included in the price and we are sorry for the lack of privacy in terms of facial hair care but we haven’t considered vanity in such details. I am glad you made a compromise with your sense of aesthetics and stayed longer than one night.

Consider other options

Helpful, friendly staff. Convenient location. Credit card payments accepted. Strong WiFi. Basic breakfast provided. Lovely patio shaded by fig tree but fruit was left to rot on patio. Slept around 20 people. We were given clean sheets for bunks. Scant facilities: 2 western toilets, 1 squat toilet, 2 showers, 1 mini sink, triple kitchen sink. Dorm fan missing front grill, exposing spinning blade. Plaster sections crumbling in places in this old house. No covers on many of the foam cushions. Not a place if you want to sleep before midnight or so.

Very nice and too family

I liked a lot, too much hospitality, and very good people, i have very nice experience and the give a lot of service. If i return to plovtiv i will return to this hostel. Beautifull place and persons.
