A Complete Horror Show

A friend booked us into Pousada Michele based on the reviews but most are older before it changed owners a few months ago. BE forewarned, it is ugly, dirty and looks very little like the photos on the website. We were shown to a room on the top floor up a second level of steps that have nor handrail and are very steep. Our room was very cheaply furnished with super thin sheets. Immediately after checking in we discovered and reported that the toilet did not flush. The maid came in and made some lame excuse about the tank top not being well aligned and flushed it. we discovered later she had to have flushed it by putting her hand inside the tank - the plunger button did not flush it. then we discovered that although the shower had an electric shower head, it did not work so there was only cold showers. When we complained, she offered to change us the next day but wanted the rest of the money. She already had over 800 reais from us - we paid R$315 per night - way too much for a really dirty, crappy place. The AC window unit is mounted below the window so it blows right on you during the night and it very old and noisy. The breakfast was all carbohydrates except for some watermelon and papaya. Mainly it was bread and cake and some ham and cheese slices. Although it says the hotel is on the beach, it is in fact down a long narrow alley about 300 meters away from the beach. In short, a complete rip off - you can do much better for what she is charging.

Boa relação custo-benefício

Pousada bem localizada e próxima a 2ª praia. Quarto muito bom com camas confortáveis, ar condicionado, frigobar e limpo. Os donos são atenciosos. O café da manhã é simples, mas poderia melhorar com relação ao sabor e a quantidade que era servida em cada mesa, pois não podíamos repetir. Além disso, sentimos falta de uma sanduicheira para esquentar o pão. A diária estava com um ótimo preço para o período que fomos.
