Gateway to the stunning Chobe National Park

Clean and tidy accomodation on the banks of the Chobe River. We were visited by 20 or so banded mongoose on our first afternoon! Staff, food and beverages were excellent. Fifteen minutes from the Chobe National Park so it makes a great base to explore from.

An oasis on the banks of the Chobe

Hello!
Our two-night stay at the River View Lodge was truly enchanting. An oasis of tranquility, with spacious and well-maintained green areas. The activities organized by the lodge (Jeep safaris and Chobe cruises) are truly beautiful and allow you to see many animals thanks to the deep knowledge of the guides. The entire staff is attentive to the needs of the guests, very kind, welcoming, and capable of creating a pleasant convivial atmosphere. Excellent cuisine and abundant meals. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended, we will return at the first opportunity!

We spent 2 nights in this Lodge. Few rooms, quiet, top service, and a good restaurant. Worth a stop.

Fantastic location, along Chobe River. We fully enjoyed the beautiful beautiful sunset with a glass of wine. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Quiet place with no TV!

Very good location for your own excursion options

Don't let the journey deter you, because the lodge is located directly on the Chobe River and is - as usual - well protected from uninvited two- and four-legged visitors. The staff is friendly, the rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast is completely sufficient, but we didn't eat the lunch offered, as we didn't feel like pasta. You could choose the dinner in the morning and it was good.
The excursions were excellent and we were very lucky with our guide Matthew. The morning and afternoon game drives were incredibly exciting and on the river cruise, the incredibly many and chilled hippos provided for very beautiful pictures. The fact that only two crocodiles dared to come to the surface wasn't that bad then. And we have never seen so many elephants and lions before. The overall package was just right for us.
