Serene beautiful surroundings, beautiful landscape, friendly staff and very good service

Stunning! a beautiful, well maintained and a hidden gem. Very relaxing, affordable and home away from home. staff are friendly helpful, and facilities and are excellent! Waterhole bar is the place to be for uninterrupted serene game viewing which is stunning .... elephants, buffaloes, kudu, impala, warthog....

Do not use this company.

We booked a private tour with James to Victoria Falls who said he would stay with us all the time. But he is using an illegal taxi service. So at the border we had to get in black Honda with another driver and his wife. This guy had to avoid police roadblocks in Victoria. After visiting Victoria Falls he picked us up then we had to change cars and go back to the border with a driver who was also a policeman and able to drive through police checkpoints.
Do not use this company for trips to Victoria Falls.

Dishonest company - Chobe safari and Impalila island tour

Booked the two day safari tour in Vic Falls via the operator Getaway Safari. On the second day I was promised an early morning game drive and a 3-4 hour guided tour to Impalila island including a light meal.
The guide (James) refused to take me on the Early morning game drive as to few people was going. Secondly and as a consequence of the first - the tour to Impalila Island (which I paid USD 80 for) was only for 1 hour and 20 minutes (instead of 3-4 hours) I had to pay the guide myself when I arrived and I didn’t get a light meal as promised. Tilodi Safari’s opinion was that I got to the island and therefor got what I paid for and didn’t want to apologize or refund any of the USD 80 I paid for the 5 minutes boat ride and 1 hour 20 minutes walk around the island.
As a bonus information the pool at the Tilodi Safari camp was “out of order” and the tent’s mosquitos nets couldn’t be zipped up as they were broken - so can’t recommend this company for anyone doing Chobe safari tours.
And as icing on the cake the company left me at the Zimbabwe/ Botswana border as I need to get a new visa (and it took 10 minutes due to queuing), as the Kaza visa apparently expires if you overnight in Botswana - and I had to organize my own transportation back to Victoria falls....

Rustic and Authentic Charm

A friend and I stayed here during our cycle through Botswana.
We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Precious, Gee and James.
They all went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after .
The lodge is a great place, teeming with wildlife on all sides.
For a more rustic and authentic experience, we recommend this place highly.

Friendly staff who made us feel welcome

We arrived in Kasane looking for a camping spot to be greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The camping is basic but the lodge grounds are pretty, swimming pool sparkling and a lovely lapa to sit and relax while looking over a watering hole. They organised us a trip to Vic Falls and a Chobe evening boat cruise that was very good value for money and James checked up on us all the time during the 3 days we stayed there. The outdoor showers had hot water and were amazing, which is a big bonus when you are camping in Botswana.
