Elegant and charming Paro resort

A fabulous new place to stay in Paro! Rustic Roots Resort and Spa has it all: a charming location amidst rice paddies next to a babbling river, gorgeous views of the hills, a convenient location just 10 minutes from Paro town, delicious food, very comfortable stylish well-appointed rooms with central heat & air con (rare in Bhutan), and the kindest, most accommodating staff. The chef is a food wizard, creating everything from risotto with asparagus & peas, to stellar Indian dishes, to traditional Bhutanese pakshapa and ema datsi. For a relaxing rural escape with all the nicest amenities, this is the place to stay.

Not our favorite

Not our favorite hotel . It were the small things which mattered . Your international adaptor doesn’t work , sockets didn’t work , Design of the room and restaurant.

New hotel with excellent interiors. Rustic but luxurious decor. Very comfortable with modern technology. I was treated very well by all the staff! Very reasonably priced. I would stay there again.

A beautiful resort in Paro Valley

We had a wonderful time staying at Rustic Roots Resort. The staff were very attentive and provided wonderful service for us, including help with exchanging money at the local bank. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable, but also did a great job of reflecting traditional Bhutanese style. We especially appreciated the beds. The rooms also had beautiful views of the rice paddies and mountains around Paro Valley. The food was terrific -- the chef and staff were very responsive to what we wanted to eat, and by the end of our stay were even anticipating what we most liked. The location is terrific, close enough to all the major sites in Paro, but quiet and relaxing in the evening. We highly recommend Rustic Roots as a great option in Paro.
