A Quiet Stretch of Belize

We spent two nights at Cassia Hills, a small resort spread across a large swath of land right off the highway. There's plenty of space between the cabins, so it feels private and quiet. The cabins are comfortable and well-equipped: AC, a fridge, and a TV. One thing worth knowing is that the windows open for the view but not for airflow, so you're relying on the AC rather than a cross breeze.
The property is full of birds and wildlife, and from the back of the grounds we could faintly hear howler monkeys in the jungle. There's also a great pool. It was very clean, stairs, shallows and deep end.
Dinner was good. The chef knows what she's doing and gave great recommendations. The staff is small, but everyone was kind and clearly loved talking about Belize and the local wildlife.
If you're after a calm, comfortable stay with good food and plenty of nature around you, Cassia Hills is a solid choice.

Unbelievable Value, Slice of Heaven

Cassie Hill Resort is just outside of town, so none of the noises from the large town of San Ignacio were heard. The cabin lodgings were very comfortable and the AC was fine and kept us very cool considering the high 80s and low 90s with high humidity that we experienced. You can’t drink the water, but hey, Belize is a developing country. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with all varieties of flowers and trees. The bird symphony was truly amazing. They have 16 species of birds on the property. The staff was the best I’ve ever encountered. Super friendly and bent over backwards to meet our needs. The food was delectable and Belizean cuisine. I would revive this resort to anyone wanting a comfortable place to hang out while visiting San Ignacio.

My wife and I stayed at Cassia Hill in April and very much enjoyed our stay. The grounds were large and well maintained and we got to see birds and enjoy fresh coconut that Marlon prepared for us. The pool was great on the hot days we had and food was very good at the on property restaurant. The location was really close to San Ignacio which was convenient too. The rest of the staff were great as well with Carlos stopping by to check on us and Christie helping us at the front desk. We plan on coming back
