A GEM of a location conveniently located near the airport

We enjoyed our stay here at River Bend Resort B&B. Even though we were <5 minutes from the airport (which was amazingly convenient), we felt like we were on a remote island, just due to taking an extremely short boat ride across the river to get to the villa. The manager, Jimmy Miller, made our stay even more personable. We felt like part of the family. I would absolutely return!

This is a beautiful spot close to the airport. It has tons of potential but is in need of maintenance. We enjoyed the breakfast and lobby. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

We had a quick stay for an early flight the next morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed and kindly offered to prepare breakfast for us in the morning. I wouldn’t stay at this property again in the future though due to a few uncomforts. Their dogs barked during the night, waking us up. There was a bright light next door that illuminated our room. The windows are shutter style glass that don’t keep out the hot exterior air. They have a window mounted air conditioner that worked well enough but was a bit loud running all night to keep it comfortable. Lastly, the beds were not comfortable due to feeling the springs in the mattresses. As they mentioned in the description, we did experience mosquitos around the facility and in our room, but that was almost normal for our trip to Belize.

It is a beautiful location and the staff are pleasant and helpful. The owners need to invest some money into the buildings and transportation. It would not be my first pick. I stayed there for one night while waiting for my flight the following day.

The airport shuttle was difficult at best. My flight from Placencia was delayed almost 2 hours.
I could never get the wifi to work in my room. The receptionist gave me two choices and multiple passwords but nothing worked. Wifi did work in the main building but this was not very helpful.
