Immediately a good sense of hospitality and correctness

We were warmly received by hostess Katrien. From the beginning to the end everything was perfect and we had no comment whatsoever. The room was very neat and quiet. We had chosen the evening dinner and were invited to the charming summer terrace for the aperitif with a nice spumante. This was followed by a homemade starter of caprese (with top tomatoes from their own garden) accompanied by plates of Italian ham and cheese. For the main course we got an ossobuco a la milanese, again a top dish. We were allowed to choose the wine in her cellar . Meanwhile, we got all kinds of tips for a walk in the area. Breakfast the next morning was also very catered for with fresh bread rolls from a local bakery. It was really a pleasure to get to know the region of Zegelsem with a touch of Italian hospitality

Too expensive

We stayed one night in the b and b.
In our opinion, the price/quality was not correct (€125 and now €135). We got a very small room with a tiny bathroom. A small window provided a view of the wellness terrace. There was only one bedside table. There were also too few electrical outlets.
The breakfast wasn't great either. It was simple, there were various cheeses, but there was no meat in sight. There were a number of sandwiches for six people, but these were not replenished and replaced with regular bread. The egg was not pressed onto a separate plate but I had to clear my plate.
The welcome was warm and pleasant.

Aanrader in het zuiden van de Vlaamse Ardennen

We sliepen in de gastenkamer aan de voorzijde, met zicht op de velden vanuit het dubbelbed. Alles was perfect in orde, van de kamer en het bed, over de badkamer (zálige douche!) en het keukentje, tot het uitgebreide ontbijt. Elke morgen kregen we dit geserveerd in de tuin, inclusief versgeperst fruitsapje en Bialetti koffietjes.
Letterlijk vlak voor de deur start een wandeling door weiland en stukken bos (iets meer dan 7 km) en passeert de Teirlinck-fietsroute (een kleine maar pittige 45km rond Brakel), beide meer dan de moeite.
Tot slot voelden we ons hartelijk welkom bij Katrien en Eric, door wie we na aankomst iets te drinken aangeboden kregen in de tuin en voor wie geen vraag te veel was. Een toevallige ontdekking en een aanrader!

Aangename B&B in een rustige omgeving

Een mooie B&B in een heel rustige omgeving. De gastvrouw is super vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. We werden onthaald met een glaasje bubbels in de tuin. De kamers zijn comfortabel en erg netjes. Het ontbijt is prima verzorgd met vers fruitsap en fruitsla. Ook voldoende aandacht voor de corona-maatregelen. Zeker een aanrader.
