The old guard out and about

Very pleasant stay in and around Brussels. Too bad about the weather, but we didn't let that bother us. Very nice walks available. Very friendly hostess Veerle, who gave us many alternatives. One nice gym with bike and treadmill and relax in the yoga room. Enjoy a local beer in the evening and enjoy a very extensive breakfast in the morning. A successful weekend with the old guard of Vvc

Unfair and cause without soul

worst experience ever in a B&B
Welcome impersonal .We booked for a cozy room but have received an inferior room with 2 single beds of which 1 was not just made, sleeping and pillow smelled like perfume from previous sleepers.Problem was quickly solved we got another room but had to get back to that first room in the morning. That second room was according to the site a cozy with mezanine for which we had booked, by the way, was on the mail.I addressed the person responsible and she arrogantly claimed that there were 3 types of cozy rooms then looked up on further dates on the site but that is nowhere to be found. There is only 1 cozy room to be found on the site.We are certainly cheated. Honesty in this case is further to seek.It is clearly a commercial business without soul. There is a lot of attention in the rooms for sanitary facilities but the sleeping place is poor , no place for a chair with armrest or small seat. The breakfast is well-kept and tasty.

Weekend away with friends and family

Wonderful stay.
Nice room, nice location.
Tasty, varied breakfast.
Worth repeating to discover the region by bike in better weather ;-)
In the middle of nature and close to the center of Brussels.

Disappointing

In the photos the B&B looked like a gem. Upon arrival there was a first downer. The car park can only be reached via a narrow passage where at that time (Sunday) a table and chairs had also been placed by people who attended the service in the adjacent Chapel. Those present were visibly irritated by our arrival. There was no one to be seen at check-in (information was received by email). Another guest wanted to check out upon our arrival, but found no one either…
The next morning we looked forward to breakfast. However, we were told that this was not provided, as this B&B is mainly booked by business people. We should have let you know in advance... No compromise was made by offering something (yogurt, egg, piece of fruit) that was in the house, even though we wanted to pay extra for it. The lady in the kitchen seemed very gruff and sulky. There is an associated meeting room at the B&B, which means that the parking lot is fully occupied by these people on weekdays and there is no room for guest cars. I clearly miss the authenticity of a B&B here. For €138 p.n. this stay was very disappointing.

Bed & breakfast without breakfast

Arrived on a Sunday while a church service was taking place in the garden. There was no friendly welcome. When we entered the parking lot we received an envious look and comment from a churchgoer about what exactly I was doing. I mentioned that we had booked the bed (without) & breakfast and therefore also paid for the parking, which this woman apparently found very funny, in a very condescending way. Because there was no welcome, entering the house was very well explained in email. I can't fault this at all. The next morning I get up earlier to inquire until what time breakfast is. The kitchen staff looked surprised when I asked about breakfast. This woman tells me that we have not booked any breakfast. This is not mentioned anywhere as you expect this to be included in the amount of the room (which in itself was enough for one night). We had no problem paying an additional supplement if necessary, but that was not the case. The lady told me that this is only present in England and that she has been working in tourism long enough to know how this all works. No effort was made to offer us anything. It was just radical: no. Her B&B is mainly booked by business people who do not eat breakfast. The parking is very impractical. The room itself was beautiful but the way we were treated was anything but. Definitely not recommended.

Very good location
