Just wow!

It's all wow! From the location of this case to what is on the plate! A real favorite for this place discovered by chance during a walk. We ate very well there at noon. We have not tested the hotel part but it tempts me a lot!

Very disappointing

My stay at Indrani Lodge unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. The reception was rather cold and the staff was not attentive to requests. The room was clearly lacking in cleanliness and the general maintenance left something to be desired. The facilities advertised did not really correspond to reality, which made the stay uncomfortable.
For the asking price, much better is expected. I do not recommend this property and will not return.

Nice place!

We had booked a room with dinner for 335€. The menu was a surprise menu. In itself tasty but 100% vegetarian, which was a bit disappointing for us personally. That would be better stated clearly in the booking! We were hoping for a good breakfast, but that wasn't really expected either... bread, cheese, a little jam and yoghurt with granola. If you don't like cheese or yogurt, you can take an egg at an extra 5€. Same for a cappuccino. Surely that should be included in these solid prices.
The room was very nice, the lodge and surroundings are idyllic and did make up for the disappointing food.
We enjoyed the sauna and pool, and the beautiful garden.
The stay is highly recommended. The kitchen especially for vegetarians.

A hotel that offers rooms with cockroach

We stayed at this hotel for one night from June 27 to June 28, 2025, booking our room through Hotels.com. We were offered the room, Olive. To our absolute shock and disgust, as we were preparing for bed, my friend discovered a cockroach on the sheets of one of the single beds in our twin room. This was not only appalling, but completely unacceptable — especially for an establishment marketed as a high-end spa resort.
There was no staff available during the evening, making it impossible to receive any assistance or even switch rooms. We immediately photographed and documented the incident, but were forced to endure the night without any support.
The following morning, we reported the issue at checkout. The hotel staff failed to offer any meaningful apology, nor did they propose any form of compensation. Their complete lack of accountability was deeply disappointing.
Following our return, we reported the incident to Hotels.com. The process of escalating the complaint was unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming, requiring numerous emails and an unpleasant phone call just to reach a supervisor willing to investigate the matter. Ultimately, the supervisor from Hotels.com agreed to issue a partial refund of €100 — for a room that cost over €200 - and a proper investigation for the incident. However, throughout our correspondence with Hotels.com, we felt that we were compelled fight in a bargaining situation for fair compensation over a situation that should never have occurred in the first place. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a flagrant failure by the hotel to provide a clean and safe environment for its guests.
In addition, we emailed the hotel directly to raise the issue and received no response. We attempted to call several times, only to be met with a voicemail message instructing us to call back later — every single time.
This experience was appalling from start to finish. The presence of a cockroach in the bed is not just unacceptable, it is an unforgivable violation of basic hygiene and hospitality standards. The fact that no one from the hotel responded, coupled with the exhausting complaint process through Hotels.com, turned this stay into a complete nightmare.

Magical place

We stumbled upon the Indrani Lodge by sheer chance and could not believe our luck. The renovation of the ancient barns and buildings is creative and stylish with lots of thoughtful touches. Our room was not particularly large but so comfortable and quiet and I had the best night’s sleep in a very long time. We loved the swimming pool and large gardens and our breakfast was outstanding with home-made yoghurt, apple juice and granola and eggs from their chickens and fruit salad. We didn’t eat dinner there as we already had plans but heard from other guests that it was outstanding. There are lots of lovely walks nearby and so we will definitely return for a relaxing few days.
