Terrifying experience
The structure at the entrance has a musty smell. Our room on the second floor was number 4, to access it you need to climb two flights of narrow, steep, dimly lit and dangerous stairs and these are not marked in the ad.
The room at the entrance smelled of mold and damp, and was dirty and dusty, not hot water, broken shower.
The worst comes in the evening when we lie in bed and begin to feel itchy all over our body, lifting the sheet we find that it is in pitiful condition. The mattress has obvious yellow spots, as well as the mattress topper, between the various layers of sheets there are numerous black/reddish bodies.
In the morning I wrote to the owner reporting the problem and attaching the photos. The latter was puzzled and claimed that the room had been cleaned but that he would send the cleaning lady to check.
Upon our return to the room cleaning had been carried out (the mattress was not replaced) we found it from: the strong smell of bleach and the sweet letter from the cleaning lady who strongly advised us to rely on more expensive hotels.
- For the holder:
If a customer expresses doubts about the cleanliness of the room, he should go and check the work of his collaborators, and I find it absurd that his employee can leave a letter in which he points out his excellent work and I quote: "if he is not satisfied there are real HOTELS and not the AUBERGE"
It should entrust the sanitization of tissues to a company and not to DASH and BICARBONATE as written.
- For the cleaning lady
We are sorry that you were offended by our complaints, but the problem was real, we slept in hostels without problems outside Europe , we understand the difficulty of your work since our mothers bought us bread with cleaning money.

Wonderful experience
Great experience, B&B in the center in a convenient location, very simple, but nice and clean. I loved the tea and coffee station at the entrance. The room was small, but with everything you need. Well cleaned. I recommend it!

A huge thank you to sweet Chloe, a wonderful person, full of love, kindness and sympathy. Always available at all times, she really knows how to enter the hearts of her guests and make you feel at home. A real rare gem!
The rooms are impeccable, very clean, comfortable and well equipped, ideal for resting after a day in town.
Another highlight is the possibility to eat right next door, at the Wine House / Osteria, where you will find high quality Italian cuisine, with excellent products. A real treat!
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a warm, comfortable and authentic stay in the heart of Brussels.
