We appreciated the early check in but there’s no AC in the room, which made it difficult to sleep. Not safe keeping the window open (it’s ground floor - someone can walk in!). Btw the lobby bar didn’t have a wine opener for us to enjoy our French wine in our room before we left. I had to walk to the Standard to get the bottle opened, which was awkward. Not penalizing them for that but odd.

Terribly dirty

This A&O is by far the worst hostel we have visited from this chain.
The room was very old (but that is not an issue), however the cleanliness was insufficient.
Long dark hairs everywhere in the bed, the bathroom was a disaster, moldy and completely calcified, the shower screen opaque with limescale. A thorough cleaning would certainly help here.
I find it an absolute cheek to assign such rooms. A room change was unfortunately refused.
The towels were also old, gray, and full of stains.
The room size was good, the location was okay, approx. 20 min walk to the city center.

Not very good at all

On arrival despite booking 2 rooms they only had one for me. Reception were more interested in blaming me than trying to help. Saying I’d only paid for 1. Once I’d found my email receipt they eventually started to look for another room but I was told they had none available. Great. They found me one which when I got too was already occupied and after another trip
Back to reception I got a student dorm room that would sleep 4. It was clean and tidy. Very good shower.
No tea and coffee facilities.
This hotel is also miles away from central Brussels. Near the seediest dirtiest part of downtown Brussels.
Overall Brussels is dirty, full of homeless, beggars everywhere.
We came to watch football which was decent but I wouldn’t recommend going to Brussels or this hotel.

Never again!

A nightmare!!!! We arrived in a room that was not clean at all and when we pointed it out they gave us another one slightly better but without towels of any kind because they had run out and all the guests were at the reception with the same problem! The soap in the bathroom dispensers was gone! For heaven's sake, we ran away!

Poor as few

Worst breakfast I've been to ever, the ham looks like it came from Chernobyl and the rest wasn't much better. Sick poor supply.
Mold in the shower, the soap radioactive even that, apart from the bathroom, the room was OK.
Lobby totally lousy, sofas not washed since '97. Generally really untidy.
