Very good experience at Hostel Herdersbrug!

The gentleman at the front desk is really friendly, available, and helpful. Even before booking, he took the time to give me a lot of information over the phone, and he was just as kind and accommodating on-site afterward. At breakfast, he had a kind word for everyone, asked us how the event we attended the night before went, and recommended several places to discover in the area. These are the kinds of little touches that really make a difference.
Check-in is very easy and flexible: if needed, it is possible to stop by to pick up the key in the morning or even arrive in the evening / at night.
We had booked for 2 people and were given a 6-bed room all to ourselves. The room is quite basic, but clean and functional, with a private shower, sink, and toilet.
Breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate. Big plus: it is possible to have it on the terrace, right by the canal, which is very pleasant in good weather.
The hostel is about a fifteen-minute drive from Zeebrugge, and it is also possible to reach Zeebrugge quite easily by bike. The location is therefore quite convenient, especially considering the prices charged on the coast. A large parking lot with about fifteen spaces also runs along the hostel.
Excellent value for money. An address that we recommend, especially for the kindness and availability of the staff!

Great stay

The stay was very good, place is clean and organized. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only think is that you have to pay attention to the bus schedule, specially at night, since the hostel is outside the city center

Good

Our room it's ok, the floor is a little dirty but the bathroom Is cleany. Breakfast super! The location it's ok to visit Brugge and around It.

1 Night stay

Overall, the experience was good. Unfortunately, there was a cycling race during our stay, which forced us to walk farther than expected to reach the nearest available bus stop. Also, when we arrived at 8:30 PM, there was no one at the reception, even though it was supposed to be open until 9:30 PM. We had to call the hotel to figure out what to do, although we had already checked in earlier that morning. Breakfast was okay, nothing exceptional, but acceptable given that it was included in the room price. All in all, a decent stay.
