Lovely hotel in Antwerp

Through Social Deal I booked a night in this hotel for my mother and me. Antwerp is always a good idea and I had heard good things about the Leonardo. The location directly at the beautiful Central Station is ideal and by metro, bus or tram you are so in the center. We were kindly welcomed and one changed without fail a room with double bed for one with two single beds. The room was comfortable and had a view of the station. In the morning there was an excellent breakfast buffet, which is highly recommended. We had a wonderful stay there. The only downside we found was that there was no handrail on small stairs that bridged height differences on floors, which was a bit difficult for me with a visual and mobile impairment but otherwise only praise for this fine hotel.

Disappointing weekend

It was too bad for words
Poor service no communication
You saw they didn't come out with the situation at the time hotel was overcrowded
We thought we had a relaxing weekend (weekend of June 5 )
Everything went wrong
After 3 more rooms
1st room was occupied
2 the laundry dirty
3 the was Okay a lot of noise in the hallway in the evening
And on the breakfast there was no control at all everyone could just sit down people (drifter) from outside walked in was no view of.
After our weekend tried to get in touch by phone and mail but nothing heard we would be called back and or emailed, we are still waiting for an answer

We had a family room, which was nice if you wanted to have an upstairs and downstairs with kitchen facilities. We were only staying the night and would’ve probably preferred the beds to be all in one room. Instead, the sofa bed for the children was downstairs and we went upstairs to our bed. Youngest didn’t feel comfortable with that arrangement so ended up joining us. Luckily, the main bed was very big so easily fit the three of us.

1 night for concerts in Antwerp

+ very good central location to station, shopping center and tram lines
+ clean rooms and bathroom
+ sufficient connections for electricity
+ good wifi
- noisy inside (doors of other rooms can be heard slamming very loudly), from outside you hear little
- before booking late check-out requested, called to hotel-confirmed, mentioned in booking, again confirmation on mail requested-received, was not mentioned at check-in so still have to arrange because hotel was quasi full. Despite sign at door "do not disturb" the cleaning woman still died
14h knocking on the door when I would be out of the room.
- air conditioning could not be lower than 23-24degrees. Someone from another room said it could go up to 20, then someone else at the front desk said, I can put it as cold as you want, but we operate all the rooms ourselves from here. Was then directly adjusted to the temperature I wanted (but you can't control it yourself in the room)
