A wonderful 4 days in Minsk
Big, beautiful, stylish hotel. Diverse breakfast: cheeses, sausages, 2 kinds of porridge, yogurt, salmon, several kinds of hot dishes, juices bagged and freshly squeezed, delicious air pastries.
The friendly, welcoming staff are always there to help.
Of the downsides, perhaps only the temperature of the shower water. We lived on the 18th floor and the temperature of the shower water could only be adjusted to the warm level, it never got hot. And I like to bathe almost boiling water))), so it was a little inconvenience for me. Hotel guests who lived downstairs - 11th to 13th floors - had no such problems. From which we conclude that this is a problem of high floors.
Separately, I want to note the location of the hotel. She's mega-lucky! All sights are within walking distance. Adjacent to the hotel is shopping mall "Gallery", which is also very convenient.
Extremely favorable experiences remained from the restaurant on the 21st floor: BAR:DOTXX1. The views are magical! The kitchen is delicious. Cocktail top.
In summary, the hotel matches its 5 stars. For a comfortable stay, I definitely recommend it.

It is embarrassing for the hotel that the guests had to be scanned because some “rich guy” came and was afraid. We felt like criminals and second class people. Staying at Hilton…. The hotel decided to insult every guest for the well being of one person. That is just cheap. Find a back door for him or if he is so rich why does he stay at Hilton then? For us it was a big discomfort - we felt like we had to prove we are no criminals.

Prior to stay in this hotel, we stayed at Hotel Europa which is more elegant with bigger room, pool/sauna, spacious lobby and it is historical. Its hotel breakfast is 80 rubles with live music.
This doubletree hotel is 40% pricier. Its breakfast is ridiculously expensive (95 rubles) with no music and no better food, even though there are so many restaurants nearby, including a food court in an adjacent building.
Room cleaning was either late (after 5pm) or skipped on some day.
The only advantage is newer. The room has a view but, before the square, we looked at a roof with complicated ventilation ductwork.
This is not recommend, due to its higher price with poor services.

They breed here.
Booked a room at this hotel on one of the popular aggregators. But that doesn't mean anything to the hotel. They can reset a reservation for some reason without any notice just because you have an inappropriate card, payment for some reason failed, or, trivialized, there was not enough money on the card due to fluctuations in the rate. You arrive at the hotel, and at the front desk, you're informed that the reservation has been cancelled. Immediately they offer to rebook, but already at an "open" rate of 1.5 times more! Rooms available.
In my case, the payment from the card I listed on the aggregator's website failed and the hotel immediately cancelled the reservation without notifying the aggregator or me. I offered to pay with a different card, but the girl at reception was relentless, just saying the reservation was already cancelled. An appeal in support of the aggregator went nowhere, they assured that the reservation was valid and they had no reports of cancellation, but for the hotel it was not an argument. The prospect of sleeping at the train station, or looking for another hotel, was not inspiring. I had to accept the increased price of 30,000 rubles and check into this hotel.
Perhaps they have a divorce scheme like this - take advantage of an aggregator error or an oversight by a tourist to "heat" it up for a larger amount. Very not solid for a hotel of world renown!
By the way, the hotel is nowhere near 5*: no spa, swimming pool, some other mandatory attributes. There really is a casino.

Watch out!!!! This is cheating!
Such an attitude is hard to imagine in Such an attitude is hard to imagine in a chain hotel, especially at 5*! As a family of three, we booked a room with breakfast via Yandex and arrived quietly by 3:00 p.m. in Minsk! Parked the car and came to the front desk, and then it started! Turns out there's a reservation for the baby and no bed or board! To our question why this is not indicated, we were sent!!! to Yandex! In addition, we have been taught a lesson on the correct booking, booking on Yandex, you must visit the hotel website and carefully read all the information in all languages of the world (as the payment for an extra bed is written in English)! By paying for bed and breakfast 150 dollars for three days!!! and 75 dollars for breakfast!!! By the way, for two adults we paid 53 dollars!!!! We went up to a room that had an extra bed in it, and we'd been standing for a long time and clearly no one was going to clean it, it's just that $150 doesn't lie on the road! I was also struck that in room 5* of the hotel instant coffee!!! chain hotel, especially in 5*!
