Grand Adventure

Terrific hospitality!
Clean comfortable rooms with AC and all you needed.
Wonderful meals prepared by the delightful owner Arnette.
Tailing bonefish just steps away from the lodge.
Access to many other beautiful flats via rental car.
A grand adventure indeed.

The Best of Acklins Island

I am in the hospitality / charter business in The Bahamas. I often travel to the family islands for bone fishing and other leisure travel. it is fair to say that I have a pretty keen eye and perspective on what is truly great about different parts and places throughout The Bahamas. The Acklins Creekside Lodge on Acklins Island and the owner Ms. Arnett embodies what is truly the best of what the family islands offer. From being greeted at the airport, to the amazing local fare breakfast and the lodge itself, you will enjoy everything you expect from a remote island in the middle of the ocean and much more.
Ms. Arnett is one of most incredible souls I have encountered on my travels through the Bahamas. She is warm and engaging and will be certain you have everything you need to make the most off your trip to the island.
The lodge itself sits on a spectacular creek teeming with schools of Bonefish. Step out the door of your very comfortable room and cast away! Or Ms. Arnett will connect you with the best guides the island has to offer for wading remotely or casting from your hired skiff.

Great bonefishing

Had a great time at Chester’s Highway Bonefish Lodge, now Acklins Creekside. Went to get some bonefishing in and it didn’t disappoint. The flat across the street was great every night with amazing sunsets and tailing bones. Numerous DIY opportunities around the island.
The lodge was great as well. Arnette made sure I had everything I needed from rental car to meals and fishing information. It was clean and comfortable. Would definitely go back again.

Relaxation

I went for relaxation and I can honestly said that is exactly what I got, the resort was extremely clean and very comfortable the meals were to die for enjoyable and tasty,all cooked by Annette. Best thing to do is get up early and watch the sun rise or if not a morning person the wait for the setting of the sun,amazing sight, and you won't have far to go just cross the street.

While on vacation in Acklins, my son and I had the pleasure of dining at Chester's Highway Inn. The quality of the food was incredible, being further accentuated by the quality of the service. What I especially loved was that the, " Native, Island ambience, " was not lost in order to provide such quality service. I would definitely highly recommend Chester's Highway Inn to everyone.
