Short break of the extra class

We're blown away!
What Carina and Manuel have created is hard to put into words.
The mountain chalet was a cuddly cave pure, not to be surpassed in cosiness.
We have been to many luxury hotels and chalets but this atmosphere in the Prechtlgut is unique, you come down from minute 1 from any everyday stress.
Particularly noteworthy is the private spa, after skiing the hot tub was immediately enjoyed, with all the snow all around just a dream and afterwards we started chilling in the cuddly cave which is a paradise of fur blankets and fur cushions.
The breakfast service to the chalet was equally perfect. Get up and enjoy the delicacies you could choose the day before.
The ski lift is just a stone's throw away. Of course, we didn’t miss out on visiting the Asters Mountain Club, which is also run by Carina and Manuel. Beautiful ambience and drinks and food that you search in vain at other ski huts.
Final summary: we come back with the knowledge to have the perfect holiday here.
Booking winter holidays will be made easy for us in the future, because there is now only one destination where we want to go and that is the Prechtlgut in the heart of Wagrain.
Best regards to everyone, you're doing great!

Beautiful chalets

The arrival was very friendly, and everything was well prepared at check-in – signing was sufficient, and we could start right away.
The garage space for Chalet 8 is located at the end of the row and is quite inconvenient to use. Upon entering the chalet, the first thing that stands out is the view of a construction site – unfortunately, a view of the mountains is only available to the left and right of the large construction site. Due to the construction site, about one night's stay was deducted from the bill, which is nice but would not have been a deciding factor for booking.
We had booked a premium chalet with 150 square meters and received a corresponding booking confirmation for it. However, without prior information, we were assigned a significantly smaller chalet upon arrival. Only upon inquiry were we informed that this change had been made.
It is worth highlighting the pre-ordered meals: In the refrigerator, there was a very appealing cheese platter with bread and drinks, as well as a bottle of champagne for our welcome.
The Prechtlgut is very dog-friendly. You can take your four-legged friend everywhere with you.
The Wi-Fi only worked on the ground floor, but not in the basement, where the spa area, terrace, and bedroom are located. After several inquiries, the problem was resolved in the afternoon. In the kitchen, some dishes were dirty with dried-on residues. For this reason, we initially placed all the dishes in the dishwasher as it was unclear how thoroughly the other utensils had been cleaned.
In the evening, we had a reservation at the in-house restaurant Prechtlstadl. We sat in the large, very nice, covered outdoor area. The food was excellent, and the staff was attentive and exceptionally friendly. We will definitely return to the Prechtlstadl for a meal. Even at our second dinner, everything was just as good as the first time.
The daily selection for breakfast is large, and we missed nothing. Everything was fresh and very good. It is ordered daily via a pad and delivered at the desired time, and the breakfast table is set.
However, construction work began on Monday morning. A digger with a heavy, very loud pneumatic or hydraulic hammer was in operation from around seven in the morning until about 5:00 PM. On Tuesday, components were flown by helicopter from the valley to the mountain, very interesting and very loud. Of course, I understand that construction and renovation work (until December 2026) is necessary. However, this should be communicated transparently before booking a vacation so that guests can decide for themselves whether they want to accept this inconvenience or choose another accommodation.
In principle, the chalet is very beautiful. However, the lack of information about the construction site, the assignment of a smaller chalet than booked, and the dirty dishes detract from the overall impression.
This may sound very negative and I regret it given the truly friendly staff, but unfortunately, it reflects our experience. Perhaps we simply had bad luck.

Dream in Wagrain

The chalet are a dream, the service is absolutely top. The choice of breakfast exceeds everything, you get up and the table is always very nicely set, with everything you ordered the night before on the tray. We didn't miss anything. Unfortunately, the weather did not play along, but we could enjoy the private sauna, the hotpot and the beautiful chalet to the fullest.
We would definitely come back.

Alpine romance

The chalet was really beautiful. It looks exactly like the pictures and meets all the ideas of Alpine romance perfectly. The large, cozy sofas with the cozy fur blankets and fur pillows by the fireplace were great, as was the own small sauna with hot tub on the terrace. Very nice we also found that breakfast was brought to the chalet every morning. The breads and homemade jams were megalecker, the selection of sausage and cheese very abundant. In addition, there was a little something every afternoon - sometimes sweet, sometimes savoury. We also enjoyed the small swimming pond, which was still nice and warm at the end of August. We also found it good that the hotel grounds are only accessible to guests. Our privacy is very important to us.

Top chalets with hotel service

The chalet are really top. Equipped with everything it needs. Bright kitchen, nice decor throughout the chalet. Very nice staff, at the reception, in the restaurant and also the lady who brings breakfast. Highly recommended. One train is just opposite the road, where the bus to the other Gongel leaves
