A must stay in Vienna

On arrival at Hotel Beethoven Wien we were able to check in 2 hours early. The staff member on reception was very friendly and asked us about where we came from and if we'd been to Vienna before. The room we were given was room 402 and on arrival to the floor, we found love hearts around the door. On opening the door, we found two swan towel animals on the bed making a love heart, fresh flowers, champagne and red hearts all around the room for our 15th wedding anniversary. It was honestly the nicest surprise we've ever had at a hotel and of course it set off our 4 night stay wonderfully. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room had a good sized bahroom, a large safe, small fridge, good lighting and you could open the window. The aircon worked well and there were robes in the bathroom. There was a wardroble, a couple of chairs and a small desk in the room also. The hotel is one block from the Vienna Naschmarkt (night market) which had wonderful options for dinner. It was also close to the Vienna State Opera and St Stephens, we walked to the Vienna State Opera daily to get the hop on hop off bus and St Stephen's Cathedral was only a 10 minute walk. U1 of Karlsplatz is also very close and you can actually walk in the station underground right to the Vienna State Opera. This hotel was the best of our 7 week trip around Europe. They really care for their guests and it shows. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent location and atmosphere.

My children and I stayed at the Beethoven just in time for Easter week-end. It is a boutique hotel, with musically themed decor, friendly staff, and an aesthetic ambience (perfect for those influencers out there). But the most critical item for this family was its perfect location. I doubt there is a more convenient location for a hotel in Vienna. It is close to the Metro, near a great bakery and grocery stores, a couple blocks from the Kunsthistorisches, and almost directly across from Secession (for all you Klimt afficionados out there). Will definitely try to stay there again. Let me add that Easter is a perfect time to be in Wien, and my kids fell in love with the Easter markets.

Dear Guest,
thank you so much for this wonderful review and for spending the Easter weekend with us at Hotel Beethoven Wien. We are delighted that you and your children enjoyed both the atmosphere of the hotel and our musical design concept.
Your kind words about our team and the aesthetic ambiance truly mean a lot to us. And yes — our location opposite the Vienna Secession and just steps from the Naschmarkt, museums and metro stations is something many guests especially appreciate when discovering Vienna with family.
It makes us particularly happy to hear that your children fell in love with Vienna’s Easter markets. Spring is indeed a magical season in the city, full of music, flowers and wonderful traditions.
We would be very happy to welcome you and your family back again soon for another Viennese adventure.
Warm regards from Vienna,
Barbara Ludwig & das Beethoven Team

We spent 2 nights in the Hotel Beethoven Wien and loved our stay there. This boutique hotel is stunning with each floor decorated in different themes related to Vienna, culture and music. We were on the 5th floor and our room was wonderful. All staff are all so friendly and welcoming, and it was lovely to meet Leopald the hotel’s Goldendoodle and get some doggy cuddles. The communal areas on the mezzanine level were lovely and welcoming - the library, and the lounge where complimentary afternoon coffee and cake is provided and the outdoors garden room was lovely. Breakfast was delicious and very calm and relaxed.

Wonderful hotel in Vienna for sightseeing

This was our first trip to Vienna and the Beethoven Hotel was the perfect spot for us to explore this beautiful city. The location is ideal: steps away from the Naschtmarket which made it easy to eat quickly and with a broad range of options near the hotel, and you can easily walk to virtually every must-see destination in Vienna (except the Schonnbrun palace which most everyone has to take transport to get to). It was also only a 12 minute uber ride from the train station. It felt like a true boutique, family-owned hotel with all of the small delights that come with such a space. The mezzanine level features a restaurant, sitting area, piano (there was a live jazz concert in the area one night which was lovely), and a library. The décor is a mix of antiques, a touch of art nouvou, and eclectic art. You have a choice of a buffet breakfast for $30E, or a smaller breakfast for $13E which was perfect for us before a day of sightseeing. In the afternoon, there is coffee, tea and small sweets also in the mezzanine area. There is a bar on the first floor and they do serve dinner, but we ventured out to explore other restaurants. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful and we particularly enjoyed the hotel dog – Leopold or Poldi for short. The rooms were surprisingly large and nicely appointed. We stayed in room 506 which had a king bed, lots of windows and great light, a couch, desk and sitting area, as well as a shower and sink in one area and a toilet and sink in another. Plenty of storage and closet space. Highly recommend.

Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are truly delighted that you chose Hotel Beethoven Wien for your first visit to Vienna and that we could help make it such a memorable experience.
It is wonderful to hear that our central location, just steps from the Naschmarkt and within walking distance of so many of Vienna's highlights, allowed you to explore the city with ease. We are also pleased that you enjoyed the unique atmosphere of our family-run boutique hotel, from the eclectic décor and our Papageno Lounge to the live music and afternoon coffee, tea, and sweet treats.
We are especially happy that Room 506 provided the perfect home away from home during your stay. It is one of our favorite rooms, filled with natural light and inspired by the remarkable Hedy Lamarr, one of Austria's most fascinating women.
Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us. Creating a warm, personal, and welcoming atmosphere is exactly what we strive for every day. And of course, Poldi will be thrilled to know that he made your stay even more special—he truly enjoys meeting our guests!
Thank you once again for your heartfelt recommendation. We hope your next visit to Vienna will bring you back to Hotel Beethoven Wien, and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
Warm regards,
Barbara Ludwig & the Beethoven Team
